💦 Join us on our exploration of our current home base: Parker, AZ! This Colorado River town is perfect for boaters, RVers, and lovers of outdoor adventure. There are hundreds of RV parks and many BLM land areas with free camping.
🥾 Rovey’s Needle - 3.7 mile difficult hike. While this hike is technically within the Lake Havasu border, it is only 5 miles from us in Parker. We really enjoyed the bench at the end of the trail where you can sit and enjoy the views of the desert and the Colorado River.
🍺 The Desert Bar is the most remote bar in AZ, and is also located in Parker! You have to drive 5 miles down a rough dirt road before you finally lay eyes on the huge bar which is built on the site of an old mining camp. The whole place is run completely on solar power, and is a hotspot for Snowbird visitors and locals alike.
🤠 This isn’t our first rodeo! Oh wait… it is! We couldn’t pass up the chance to visit the Lake Havasu Stampede Rodeo 30 min down the street. The kids riding sheep (mutton busting) was especially entertaining!
🏞️ Buckskin Mountain State Park is one of several state parks along the Colorado River in Parker. It has great hiking trails and an RV park, but we decided to put our paddleboards in at their river access. The river was so calm, we were able to paddle upstream and find our own private beach.
