THIS is exactly why I'm in the process of getting my CDL ... even over 60 ... to try and go the road less traveled and actually see something, while making some extra money. You radiate such joy and happiness!! God's best to you. You are an inspiration!
I won't lie the job is hard, but it is truly what you make it. Trucking is a fight all on it's own but if you are up for it and can push through the battles there is so much to be experienced
What a fun video. It reminds me so much of my own roadtrips. I love to stop in those middle of nowhere, unexpected places. No tourist traps. Met some fun, funny and kind people that way.

The first place you stopped, in Kansas, reminded me of a trip I made to the geographic center of the lower 48 states, in Lebanon, KS. It has a chapel, too, even smaller! It was a nice bit of heartland USA, so I'd recommend it to you if your travels go in that direction - off US 36, mid-Kansas. Stay safe out there!
I also enjoy getting out of the truck and walk around. We spend 10-14 hours in that tin can, it’s nice to get out and get some exercise. I run in the upper Midwest, MN,SD, ND, IA, NE, WI, and once in awhile MT and WY. So several cities I’ve visited multiple times but still look for different areas to walk to. Glad to see you are enjoying it, it’s not work when you’re having fun.

So great seeing you doing what you do and sharing with us. In my past life I would ask employees (not in trucking) to take a different way home this week. It was to inspire them to think out of the box . You might find the new way even faster cause of less traffic or see something that excites you or never knew was there. May your travels be safe and with lots of Dog treats :) .

I've been trucking 32 years. Take time take care of yourself ,I'm now paying a high price for what I did when I was your age ,but, I'm still out running.

Maintenance on the truck is never ending but also maintenance for emotional health of the operator is as if not more important. Stopping and placing the schedule demands in the back seat and yours in the front is a critical step to gaining equilibrium. Love your videos

It is so much fun to watch how you get excited about the little things and the surroundings. Thank you for taking us along. It's almost recreational taking the back roads and explore all the little towns, meeting the people living there. Greetings from Germany.
It absolutely is recreational. Our time are tighter when we venture off the main roads but its no fun if you just take the easy and fast way all the time. There is so much to find elsewhere!
I could have easily drive past, that's a common route for me. Straight south of that is the place to stop. Greensburg has great parking, very friendly, and has an incredible museum for the largest hand dug well and for the f5 tornado that hit there.
