We visit FORT WORTH, the Stockyards and the BIGGEST Honky Tonk in the world!!
I think so Far Fort Worth has been one of my most favourite cities to visit. We had a full and packed day and didn't stop until we visited every corner and every store and we even went to see the Rodeo, which you'll be able to see in the next video!
We LOVE TEXAS!!

The best Restaurant in Fort Worth near the stockyards is Joe T. Garcias!!! You MUST try it closer to May or June. Gives you another reason to ho back to Fort Worth. The Fort Worth zoo is the best in Texas as is the Cowgirl Museum, botanical Gardens. There is a Steam train that goes fro Grapevine Texas to the Stockyards too. For hiking, go to the Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge. You guys passed the Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glen Rose, Texas. Great for mid spring to the end of june.

Mikey and Tasha, from a native Texan, you both look super in your cowboy hats and ya'll did well in getting what typically is the correct hat for the season. Felt cowboy hats which both you have are typically pulled out for wear in autumn through winter and straw cowboy hats for spring and summer season, but, you can wear which ever you feel best in, great job. We welcome you with open arms, heart, and love. Lots of love from a native Texan.

You both look great in your hats!! Maybe push it down a little more on your head if you can... the plaid shirt is perfect!! Tasha definately looks like a Texas girl!! Love her boots and her hat fits perfect!!! I was born and raised in rural Texas. A life event took me to Oklahoma when I was 40. At least I'm still more or less rural.

Shamrock Shake is Mint and vanilla but it use to be they would let you mix the mint with chocolate shake to make it better. Hopefully you start asking her Mom if she likes your sweaters instead of jumpers. 😂

I actually spent the night at an RV park in Marlin, TX about 3 years driving across Texas on the way to New Mexico, the next morning we stopped in Waco to visit the Waco Mammoth national monument (covered dig site where you can see excavation of mammoth fossils)

Dallas and Ft. Worth don't really like each other. The former owner of the Ft. Worth Star-Telegraph newspaper, Amon Carter, said that "Ft. Worth is where the West begins; Dallas is where the East peters out."

Dallas and Fort Worth are separate cities but due to their close proximity to one another, the area is referred to as the Dallas Ft. Worth Metroplex, or simply DFW for short.

Many moons ago they were separated by Arlington, but now they’re just one big sprawl. I think the DFW airport sits on what was once Arlington. Maybe that can help Mikey and Tasha get their geographical bearings. Our maps don’t always keep up.

As a native Fort Worthian (no idea you guys were here!) I've got to say Fort Worth and Dallas are two different cities and don't touch each other. There is about 30 miles and cities between Dallas and FW. Happy you guys had a great time, hope you come up when we have better weather! We have fantastic museums and imo the best Zoo in the country...in fact some national publication agreed not long ago.

Keep your calendars open this fall for the State Fair in Dallas, and it’s even BETTER when you go during the Red River Rivalry when Texas and Oklahoma play each other. Not sure how much you know about college football, but Texas and Oklahoma is one of the biggest and oldest games and it’s nothing but disdain and bitterness. Soooo much fun!! 😂

That’s just the middle part of Texas. In the east you hit the piney woods. And the west is the hill country. And along the coast we have beaches. Like I’ve always said. If Texas doesn’t have it, you really don’t need it. 😁

The Stock Yards is a fun place. Right across from where you watched the cattle drive is where you can mount a horse for your own trail ride too. There are some shops in the back areas that aren't so expensive or touristy. Can't tell you are a Brit at all. Some make an artform out of how you wear a hat. But it doesn't matter.

Sundance Square just a short walk (or even shorter drive) directly south of the Stockyards is great in spring, early summer and late fall. (little too hot in July/August) outdoor music and movies, tons of restaurants/bars and shopping for more than tourist trinkets. Even some small museums as well. It's the place to be for safe adult nightlife (as in 35 and up) while the younger crowd prefers the West 7th entertainment district on the west side of the Trinity river.

Soon as you said your hotel was next to a Rudy's I knew exactly where it was XD I lived pretty close to there in Keller now I live in Granbury but I'm in Fort Worth a lot. My Papaw (grandfather) worked in the meat packing plant that is on the hill above the Stockyards that you can see from the maze/Riskys Barbecue which was directly behind you in the very first clip of the Stockyards!

No one else said it, so I guess I will... If I am not mistaken, Tasha immediately won your game of pool. I believe the rules are :when breaking the balls, if you scratch... you lose. "Scratch" is the white ball in the pocket. I believe Mikey's ball went in the corner pocket... Sorry, Mikey.

Your in Texas. Now is the time open up your world and try having breakfast tacos. Just like Texas BBQ you are really going to love them. Rudy's makes GREAT breakfast tacos and chopped beef sandwiches for breakfast. You can buy them straight off the hot rack or have them made to your liking. Hardly any places have bad breakfast tacos since they are so easy to make !!!!

guys, come on lol nothing from mcdonald's is "great". that is literally our shittiest cheapest food in the entire country! *facepalm* WHY do people from the UK love our cheap unhealthy fast food?? I'll never understand this. There are so many better options. oh and about the portion sizes? the UK was doing it correctly. that's why America has an obesity epidemic and the UK (and pretty much everywhere not America) isn't. America has so many good things, but let's not call the bad things good.

that wasn't a real honky tonk. a honky tonk is basically the southern version of a dive bar, and if you want to see the REAL action, it'll most likely be found on private property in somebody's barn away from the prying eyes of the police lol you have to know somebody to go there. but having said that, the place you were at calling itself a honky tonk for the sake of appearances and marketing strategy did look like a very nice entertainment venue. that's why i know it's not a real honky tonk haha
