I had NO IDEA that you could allow your family members to stay in the red for this long, nor that they could have THIS MANY things going wrong with them at the same time. I've always played on the edge of my seat, not realizing that it's apparently WAY MORE forgiving than I thought.

For the murderer, you can flag his face and match it to the bulletin picture on your daily briefing. If you let him in, they'll give you a citation for not flagging his face. For Dari ludem you can inspect the paper and his name, and initiate the detainment

I like how they read the rules for the day every time, and it always had something new to keep an eye for, then suddenly decided not to read the rules for some reason on one of the more important ones that explain the Detain mechanic.

I would be curious to see them bring on a guest who knows how to play this game super well and have them freak out at how much faster they could go lol

Watching Arin and Dan go through this after watching Jack's playthrough years ago is giving me nostalgia in all the right places. Also, I can't help but refer to the guy with the hand-drawn passports as "Potato Man" complete with Jack's accent. I can't be the only one.

There's actually a trick where you can save a bit of money by alternating the days in which you buy food for your family, because afaik there's no need to feed them if they're not hungry.

Plenty of people have mentioned not using the examination tool enough, but what's killing me is Arin flipping through the pages rather than using the bookmark/table of contents to go to pages faster.

Just as a tip because I noticed that you guys didn't know what to do with the murderer guy, you can point out problems with the discrepancy tool that aren't just wrong information, so if a criminal comes in, pull up the paper that had the criminal and highlight the person and their picture on the paper. This is also important to do when they don't have a document, where you can point out that they don't have it by pulling up the rule in the book, and selecting the table and that rule. Doing that will ask them where the rest of the papers are, and they might give you what your missing to let them through, or they will give an excuse, which usually denies them. Hope this helps!!

So, I requested this specifically because this game is one of the greats among earthbound, outer wilds, FTL, where there's an incredibly riche tapestry of Ludo narrative and actual narrative that provides you with gut wrenching moral decisions. It's a top game because it is an important game that showcase the reality and cruelty of migration systems, and later on truly makes you feel for the characters you meet. If Danny was about to cry from doki doki or Danganronpa, I'm nigh certain the characters will create an emotional response that I'm excited to witness. Please play this to completion.

I am still astonished by this game and how efficiently it communicates its ideas about bureaucracy.

Best advice I have is to get a separate screen or a tablet with a country guide so you don't have to flip through the book all the time. You guys could even have a division of labor between Arin and Dan, like Arin checks country and codes while Dan checks faces and names.

Yes! I'm so glad you guys came back to this game. It's one of my favorites. What's funny is Arin actually stumbled onto a good strategy. You can just allow or deny without highlighting discrepancies to save a TON of time until the day after the reporter shows up and you have to mark denials with a reason stamp too.

If it makes you feel any better, detaining someone doesn't guarantee their death. For example, that gremlin Jorji can be detained several times, but he keeps coming back like that meme of Barney from the Simpsons being thrown out.

Usually when I hear about the angry comments they talk about getting I'm like "lol how do they get so worked up?" But today was the day I felt like leaving multiple angry comments about how they don't know how to play the game haha

Happy to see more of this! Granted, it seems like a brutal game, especially if you miss some of the mechanics. Which they have. I hope they learn some things from the comments, without worrying about all the people frustrated that they don't know how to play. (I understand the frustration, but it's not like Arin is messing up on purpose) I continue to love all of the custom art for the thumbnails!

Oh my goodness I finally get to do this and have it be in a series that's still going on! Arin, you're doing fine. That being said when you have something that's in the news there's a piece of paper inbetween the speaker box and the clock on the left hand side of the screen (Where the people come in). If you drag that over to the right hand side of the screen you can mark discrepencies such as the vince lestrad thing. From there you can detain instead of just denying, which will save you a citation.

I LOVE listening to the accents you both make. Thats why I asked for more 😅
