I’ve been a follower since the beginnings and I’ve tried not to encroach on your privacy and read between the lines and be hopeful that like all marriages the honeymoon season is over and you’re all experiencing marriage in its entirety “the good, bad, ugly.” As a Kenyan man who married young in the European culture I can say that intercultural marriages are not easy. You have to merge cultures and also merge personalities in a marriage. First, I’ve learnt over the years being married that there’s NO better culture. Cultures and traditions are just things in which society uses to coexist with each other. My marriage counselor saved our marriage when she told us that we needed to create a new culture to coexist. A blend of both of cultures that we agree and appreciate to be the representation of who we are. We wrote a list of likes and dislikes and discussed them and from there found our family blended culture that represents us as a family. We’re now kind and forgiving to each other as we keep working on the areas we are yet to let go. Leni much love 💕 and all the best.
