You must have reset a lot, he doesn't shut the screen off on you until like 20 or 30 resets in. Trust me, me and a friend literally sat for 2 hours resetting the game to see his dialogue.
I mean...I left my ACNL town and time traveled 30 years into the future and one of my characters saw me and screamed “GHOST!!” Then he basically told me to get away and go towards the light already
Mitzi: Alright Girls, What Should We Talk About To Varlo When He Comes Back? Blaire: Clothes! Nibbles: Clothes! *11 Years Later* Blaire: *In an old voice* Remember... Clothess......
Fluffo The Sheep Ah-ha! I knew it! Girls DO get together and discuss stuff! Or wait, do they get together because they're friends, and NOT actually a secret society of girls who get together and collectively decide who's dateable and who's "just friends" material, like the secret society of girls from South Park. But it could be the former, but I'm not ruling out the latter.
"They're all just talking about cloths! I've been gone for eleven years and this is all they have to talk about?!" *gets clothing ad after he says this*
Meghan Wiesjahn You actually liked pulling weeds? I forgot about my Animal Crossing town for a long time because I had other GameCube and 3ds games, and when I went back, tons of people moved out, there were roaches in my house, and weed as far as the eye could see, in fact, there were so many weeds, that I'm surprised I didn't see Snoop Dogg there, indulging in some weed himself. I don't like weeds, but digging them up with my shovel was nice, and the music is great, so I can see why you'd like it dude. Especially the during the afternoon, when the music is the best, or at night, or maybe early morning, with the great soundtrack. I could pull some weeds to the nice background songs in this game. But, I'd ignore the weeds and buy more stuff and cut down trees that were in the way. I have a Nintendo themed house, with a GameCube logo, a Luigi shirt and Mario shirt, and Anju shirt and Kafei shirt too. And, I had the Flagpole from Super Mario Bros. with the wallpaper and carpets too. It looked great. I wish I still had my Wii, with my GameCube memory card. They're both in storage, I think. But, after seeing this video, I want to go back and see my virtual friends. They're about the only real friends I have, besides RU-vid friends, and one girl who texts me usually every Saturday. But, with Animal Crossing, the residents feel real enough to me. As lame as that sounds. I don't know every code to get the rest of the nes games or the rest of the Nintendo stuff. So, it's an incomplete house. Even In the 3ds version. I hope there aren't as many weeds in the new Animal Crossing game though. Sorry this was a long message.
* Goes back to town * I wonder what it's going to be li... * Everybody is dead and the town is a wasteland * * Insert SpongeBob screaming no at the sunken krusty krab *
Apparently Calisto is a very patriotic town from around 1912 to 1959. At least that was when the last flag we had with the stars lined up was around, though it looks like some rows may be missing. It is kind of hard to tell.
Oh my lord I had to go back and do a double take because I legit thought Blaire said did you go to a strip club or something... Imagine that. 135 months in a strip club
ShaggyRogers52 Spending 11 years in a strip club!? You'd basically be living there, if you spent THAT long in a strip club dude! You'd have to be the owner, or secretly live there, without letting the girls or manager know if you're not the manager, or, if you somehow are dating one of the girls there. Take your pick dude. Which one would PBG's character be doing for 11 years?
You know, I'm gonna boot up my childhood AC file, on my original AC memory card. I spent thousands of hours on it as a child. I look forward to seeing it again.
15:38 Trypophobia. I have it pretty bad, but the weeds don't seem to be triggering it for me luckily :D but that's what it's called. (Fun fact! It's actually not technically a phobia since it does gave logic to it. It's a genetic fear meant to protect humans from interacting with poisonous plants, animals and insects that often sport that kind of pattern or have hives/nests like that)
There's a difference between a phobia and a rational fear... Everyone is afraid of a lion attacking them, or a poisonous spider; a phobia is much stronger than that. I have no idea how it applies to Trpophobia though.
Well im pretty sure most phobia got a logical cause like that. For example, arachnophobia is a thing because before spiders were a real threat before. [insert phobia of dark places] is pretty obviously because you simply don’t know what is in the dark, even tho its not really a problem anymore.
Phobias are considered an anxiety disorder that is defined by the “persistent and excessive fear of an object or situation”. The whole premise of having a phobia that is an irrational fear. Most people would be anxious, for example, if dealing with a potentially difficult or dangerous situation however when there is no immediate threat yet you are experiencing anxiety surrounding said phobia - that is a problem. I am not afraid of spiders but if I saw a Black Widow - I would be afraid, as they are extremely dangerous and deadly. A common house spider isn’t going to get the same result.
I still have my original house paid off and going back it's super nostalgic and I remember the good ol days at my grandparents house playing it to catch fish and get clout
The Animal Crossing wiki is honestly a lifesaver for that dumb fake painting feature. Also I'm terrified to check my Animal Crossing village because it's been so long. You're so brave 👏
iAnnie What's the 3rd one? I'm only subscribed to PBGGameplay and PeanutButterGamer. When did he make a 3rd one? This is my 5th channel, with the same name. It started off with my mom's name, and then it became my name last year. So, maybe i missed that channel ma'am?
wait so youre telling me when I was laid off from tom nooks shop I only made 1 dollar and 70 cents instead of 1,700 dollars?... the trees are gonna be well fed today.
Aw man... My mom gave my gamecube and all of my games away to Goodwill during my first year of college, which included the OG Animal Crossing I'd been playing since I was a kid... This brings me back. Good to see it again!
Mitzi just moved into my New Leaf town and I've been grappling with the decision on whether or not to kick her out, but her devotion to you and your devotion to her has finally made me make up my mind: she stays!!!
When I was in 4th grade I tried to get my friend into Animal Crossing so we could play together. I talked about how fun it was so she asked her mom for the game. Her mom was protective so she did a lot of research on the DS and the game to know what it was all about. In the end, she bought herself, my friend and my friend’s little brother a console, Wild World and a complete guide book and became absolutely obsessed. Her mom would play constantly every time I saw her...I destroyed the structure of a household trying to get my friend to come to my town
"I was locked in my room for 11 years!" so, the plot of Oldboy, basically? (tho' OldBoy was there for 15 years) are you kiddin'?! pokémon pinball was great :D
Name your next town Ca-FIST-o! Throwing away letters one at a time is a drag. Can you select multiple things at once in the GC AC? I played it but it was so long ago....
Exclusive to the GameCube ports of Animal Crossing 1 is not only the ability to batch drop items at once, but the ability to erase all read letters in batch simultaneously. This needs to come back in later games.
A LOOOONG time ago, we had Twiggy in our town and he moved one day and havent or seen or heard from him since. But all the other current residence keep moving away and coming back every time I travel to the new town I made this year recently. Also I have a Mitzi in my town currently.
its honestly surprising how well the gamecube's internal clock works. i cant remember, but i think animal crossing's year cap is actually 2021, which is a little morbid, and ive never bothered to check if its the same for the system, but probably not. i wonder what happens when the game reaches the cap.
I never had Animal Crossing for the Gamecube, but I’d probably get a Gamecube just for Animal Crossing. The first one I played was Wild World and it was great. I also almost bought City Folk thinking it was just another version but with people instead of animals. Edit: The first card of Wild World I had got lost to the sofa. Then I never found it and I cried a lot. Damn
This video inspired me to go revisit my old Animal Crossing town. The first villager I spoke to berated me for not speaking to them in 166(!) months - just 2 months short of 14 years.
There are “games” on steam which work as a hub for all your other steam games but you build an arcade to put the games in. For Animal Crossing Switch itd be cool to have a feature like this where you can boot your download titles or NES online games from the game.
14:31 "What do you do when you have to wash your clothes!? Do you stay inside all day? Do you go out.. indecent?" Boy, I'm the only one wearing pants around these parts that doesn't own a business. What you talkin about?
I liked the mean villagers too. They made me laugh the most. Once in Wild World one of them called me a "late face" when I was late bringing him something and I thought that was really funny.
I like Chow, he's a bit of an oddball. He's in my New Leaf town & I enjoy having him although he is a tad creepy. He invited me over to his house & told me to make myself at home so I slept on his bed & he stood there, watching me sleep.
Bryce McKenzie It did for me, because I think I've been gone from my Animal Crossing town for a pretty long time, but not as long as PBG, dude. Maybe about 4 years or longer? I'm not sure. I haven't used my Wii since 2012, because after my best friend got a girlfriend, he stopped hanging out with me, and I couldn't go back to the Wii with my GameCube memory card on it, with our data of Super Smash Bros. Brawl on it too, along with my GameCube games, like Animal Crossing, because I'd lost my only friend, and I didn't want to just go and see if anyone else moved away, or talk to anybody there, because I know they're not real, and I didn't want to be reminded I had no real friends, only virtual or RU-vid friends, who I haven't even met in real life, so I avoided it completely, but this video makes me want to play AC again, but my Wii and GameCube memory card are in storage, and my old tv literally exploded, so I can't play them. Which sucks. But, this video is a good reminder of what I used to have when I played AC on the GameCube and 3ds. I hope a new Switch game comes along and makes everyone feel the same way, and gives us nostalgia for years to come, even after it's release. Have a great day/night.
Oh wow! This is kind of surreal, it makes me wish I had a gamecube and this game back in the day. But it has been a while since I visited my New Leaf Town....
I visited my Gamecube Animal Crossing Town that I have not played in 6+ months. I found weeds, SOO MANY WEEDS!! Also, I found out that they thought it was Jan. 1st. I was like.... -_- Yep...yahh…..okay, stop kidding...nope..
Batabii sorry if that came off brash, what I meant was that since he said he’d never played an animal crossing game I thought that he probably thought that since you’re the mayor in new leaf you’d be the mayor in the older games
Fear of holes is called trypophobia. And, I grew up with Animal Crossing city folk for the Wii. I haven't played the game since 2014 or 2015 at least. My whole family used to play it together every day. Usually all day. I don't have siblings so it was just me, my mom, and dad. The extra character I made was of my best friend. Sadly, in 2015 I decided I wanted to play it myself, because my parents sort of forgot about it, and I deleted the game data. I feel really bad for doing that because we had almost everything in the museum except for some rare fish. I miss those old times. But hey. At least I'm old enough to want to actually play the game instead of wanting to mess around the town. (I loved having the villagers fall into potholes. I used to surround the mean villagers houses with the things, and watch them get pranked.) And probably my most favorite thing in the game was the gyroids... I hope I spelled it right. I was the one collecting the gyroids, and keeping them all to myself. I'll never see my old childhood village again, but I can make a new one that's better than ever! (And I have wifi now, so I can do that "go to other villages" now..... If anyone still plays it.)
Um pbg idk if you know but fake paintings were introduced in the first animal crossing game and back then it was difficult to check whether the painting was real or not since the fake and real paintings look the same, but in new leaf they introduced an easier way to check whether the painting was real or not by making it distiguishable
