In this episode, we take a holiday in our favourite location in the world - Barnard Castle and the Teesdale area. We enjoy the fabulous walking this area has to offer, explore the mystical Fairy Cupboards on the River Tees and drink numerous pints of cider in lovely, local pubs in Cotherstone and Romaldkirk. We show you sections of the Tees Railway Path that runs between Cotherstone and Middleton In Teesdale, before taking you on a walk between Low Force and High Force, one of England’s most majestic waterfalls.

Who are we?
We’re Jamie & Stacey McNeill, two, 30-something professionals, who’d had enough of the rat race in summer 2018, when we quit our jobs and sold our house, in order to live full time in a touring caravan in Wales.
Our channel shows our journey living this way, the highs, the lows and everything else in between. We also use our platform to advocate to others, the benefits of living a lower stress, more balanced lifestyle.
We have built our RU-vid reputation to date on honesty and integrity - you won’t find us using ‘click bait’ titles or nudity to draw in ‘cheap views’. We’re here for the long-term to show that this way of living can be a lifelong change for you as well as us.

Wholly recommend it. It's a stunning area. If you like cycling, the cycle way between Cotherstone and Middleton is a fantastic day out. The Bowes museum is similarly wonderful. A great area!

Enjoyed your video. Brought back memories, had to go look through our photos, We were there in 2012 for our silver wedding anniversary. We did the waterfall walk as well. Nice area thank you for sharing your visit.

Hello to you all great video we have just got back from Barnard castle but we stayed at a place called glen camping loveley little site for £10 per night we went on 29th and went to low force falls and didn't know you can walk to high force so thanks for that we will now be going lol I also got it all on vlog for our channel lol but now I know you can walk there be even better next time as we there for 3 nights at glen camping on 22nd can't wait lol all the best take care love to you from Jamie Tina Andrew and Harvey (the Ellmers adventures)

@@TheMcNeillsonWheels no but you gave us some useful info on one of your vids as we went to low force falls but diddint know you can walk to high force so going to be doing that as going back to same campsite and 3 nights so can get round more places lol

Really enjoyed your Vlog. Barnard Castle was new to us last year and we walked from the site like you did but got a little lost and ended up at the prison LOL. We didn't get locked up though... phew :)) Trev

Ended up at the PRISON! That would be an adventure to recall in future! I can't think of the prison you mean. There's a Young Offenders Institute, which is possibly what you found, but I don't recall a prison... Unless... Ah ha! You were in the bowels of the castle, held captive for a ransom! I feel a story coming on!!!

Hi Ian, Thanks for your kind words. I am flying a DJI Mini 2, which is my first ever drone. I had no previous experience flying drones and have only had it since February, I think? Like you, I started off as incredibly nervous about it, but have grown in confidence with it. Only had 1 near miss with the top of a summit marker! I opted to buy the DJI Care Protect, which is a sort of insurance against damage to the drone or total loss. I don't recall how much it was, but it wasn't much. The Mini 3 is out now, but I'm happy sticking with what I have already. Hope this helps!

@@TheMcNeillsonWheels well you are comfortable with it by the quality of the videos so keep up the flying and the excellent vlogs. Yes it does re dji as they seem to be the best but I better save up my pennies as I want the 3 but be a few months yet.
