The Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple in Robbinsville, New Jersey, is a special place for Hindu worship. Dedicated to Lord Swaminarayan, it's a place where Hindus go to pray and show devotion. India was once called 'The Golden Bird' because of its rich heritage, knowledge and culture . But Islamic Invasion and British Invasion destroyed our temples, architecture , knowledge etc. and looted us. But still Hinduism or Sanatan Dharm can never be eradicated. It is eternal.

A religion is also a way of living, a culture. Difference between Dharma and Religions is religions are TRIBAL that is they form flocks or herds or LEGIONS (large herds) , which have a tribal identity, one leader, and they have us versus them thinking, they fight with other tribes / religions non religions , they want to compete and often dominate and expand , grow own religion in strength population and land. WHEREAS Dharma is just a moral code of right and wrong. Neither is spiritual or philosophy. Vedic kuls were philosophical .

When I was doing my internship in Gujarat , for 4 months in scorching heat of India , it was this very BAPS hindu mandir and their vegetarian kitchen which helped me survive that place, the people were so kind and everything was so cheap and tasty. The owner of that place was like a father to me, a father away from home. I still look back at those days.

This temple's architecture is so great and the atmosphere inside is really like a heaven. So peaceful and it gives us a fresh feel to the soul. Usually they will not allow the mobiles or cameras. As she is a foreigner they would have allowed it for her. But they will not allow us to take those kinda accessories into the temple. I was so disappointed that I was unable to take a picture of this great architectural wonder!
