I was invited to Stiltsville for a weeked. I slept outside on the deck. It was the best sleep i have ever had. The whole night was like a dream come true.

Seen them decades ago. This answers some questions. Interesting.

My family moved to Lemon City in 1880. They had a pineapple farm on Elliot’s Key and a dock on Sands Cut. Tequesta Magazine has wonderful stories and diaries written by “Old” Miamians. Also Greta books to recommend: Key Biscayne by Donna Gill Blank, Charlottes Story by Charlotte Niedhawk and A LAND REMEMBERED fiction based on history by “can’t remember”.

The Blue one was my favorite, where my daddy use to take me around to go fishing. Beautiful memories for me.

i’m from South Florida and I love Stilltsville a lot because of its Uniqueness and History and also in Part that the little guy beat out the Government kind of i remember my Dad always liking that when the Government tried to run out everyone by saying they couldn’t rebuild new houses but they were able to rebuild for Upkeep one wall at a time the people got smart and tore down one wall and replaced it with a bigger ,taller ,grander one and after a few years the house was transformed into a Mansion and the people stayed i beleive the people got away with that legally by taking advantage of Historical Laws ? but bottom line was they got to stay legally

Between the obvious racist old pictures with the Black waiter/chef off to the side , to him laughing when he brought up “handicapped kids” makes this one of the weirdest news segments lol
