Today's adventure takes us to the "Sweetwater Creek State Park" located in Lithia Springs, GA. This big and amazing park has many trails each filled with awesome vistas, it has been featured on many iconic movies and TV shows such as: The Hunger Games, Cobra Kai, Atlanta (TV series), Resurrection, and much more.
Most of its trails have been now renovated after a $2 million dollars renovation that started in 2023. Parking it's required, the cost to park is $5.00 which you can pay at the entrance in cash "Only" or by visiting the Visitor's center where you can pay with a CC. Please keep in mind the park gets filled very quickly though additional parking areas are available throughout the park. There are several areas designated for picnics, fishing, etc.
Make sure to stop and check out the 1849 "New Manchester Mill" ruins. They are fenced however you can pay for a guided tour but please check within the visitor's center for more information.
