One of our bucket list places to visit when we set off travelling was going to see the friendly giants of Chiang Mai. But we didn't want to visit any normal sanctuary - we want to go and visit Lek.
Lek is an amazing woman who has dedicated her whole life to rescuing Elephants from captivity and bringing them back to where they belong - in the nature.
You can watch her amazing story in a documentary called Love and Bananas - it's really educational and taught us what ethical tourism should look like.
