I want to thank-you SO MUCH! I have used this video three different times to reset both my daughter and brother's Prestige 7L tablets! YOU ROCK! We can't afford to buy new ones every whip stitch and there is no way I would have known how to access this stuff without your video. Thank-you X infinity.
Make sure the cord is not plugged in while you press the power and volume up keys. One you see the visual land logo let go of the buttons. Wait for the dead android guy and then hold the power and press the volume up and you should see the screen to format the drive. Once you see this screen you can let go of the power button and use the volume up and down to navigate. Hope this helps others because I spend an hour trying to figure this crap out.
After holding the volume+ and power button, release when the screen comes on. Once the android with the red triangle with exclamation point in it shows up, hit the volume+ and power button together one time to get a list of recovery options. If you have a saved backup, you can restore it from there. If not, it does give you the option to wipe and restore.
It worked on mines!!! ;) it took me awhile to even understand the directions lol...kinda had a blond moment there Jajaja. ..but remember guys/girls.... "Press and hold" And then let go once u see the dead android! :)
Took me 1 1/2 to figure this out....When holding the volume + 5 times make sure you are also holding the power button to get to the set of options. Thank you
K Henderson... Here's a slightly different sequence I just received from Visual Land. (v+ button for 5 seconds then add the power button for 15 additional seconds)
YO! For the Prestige 7D I was able to get this to work by getting to the screen with the little Android on his back and the red 'triangle with exclamation point' by then holding the power button and pressing the volume +
Ok mines a Prestige 7D, will these instructions still work the same? Ive tried this and it just turns on and doesnt bring up the system menu, could I be doing something wrong, or are there different procedures to take for this tablet?
Man I need to how to charge my key board because it's not letting me to type at all and Iam really worried about it because my thin cord I need it a really thin pice to hood into the keyboard so it can really be charged up really good
Hey, So I have this problem, Tablet is stuck on boot up screen. I did a resit with the button from the back but that failed. I then tried holding down the power button and the +Vol to get into recovery mode, but as soon as the small Android comes up and I let go , the normal boot splash screen comes up. I tries a few times but kept failing. I dont understand whats wrong. PS.I am a Technician and I am repairing for someone. Usually when accessing recovery on tablets and android phones, its a breeze. This one is giving trouble... what to do?

Now I have a question I have had this tablet for years now and it connects to the internet but every time I go into the Mobile Market it says no network. I have tried Factory Resetting it, I have tried to change the time and date and it just doesn't seem to work. Plz help me. Is there something else i can do to fix this network problem??
Well I have the same tablet but when I enter in that mode I can't go down pulsing the vol - buttom u.u and If I put the vol + buttom all the letter disappear at the moment and appears again If I put again. HELP? Sorry for my bad english u.u
when i hold down both buttons instead of the recovery screen coming up the screen that says android comes up and doesn't give me any options ....can you pls tell me what i'm doing wrong....Thank you

Hard drive problem on my visual land prestige tablet. My visual land prestige 7g tablet is suppose to have 8gb internal memory but it only has 1gb (0.98gb). Is there anyway to fix this problem ??? Defective ??? I've gotten it new, not used.
I've gone all the way with entering emails n phone number to sign in it always goes back saying device was recently reset...........my tablet is new. please help!!!!
ok so my daughters tablet is suddeningly showing everything mirrored/backwards. the touch points are inverted. the words are all backwards, to see them correctly you'd have to hold it in front of a mirror... i did the above in the video, its still mirrored, please tell me how on earth to fix this!
Ames Angel: wondering if you were able to do a hard reset as instructed clearly in the video and if it helped at all? I went ahead and bought the warranty and am mailing mine off to Visual Land. Usually when I read reviews I try to balance the good vs bad. I should have listened to the bad reviews. This unit is crackers and it's messed up within a couple of months since purchase. So very very wrong..
no ma'am the hard reset didn't fix it. it was still mirrored, i also sent ours back. broke down and got a nextbook 8, so far we've had no issues what so ever with it. costed a little more, but got tired of getting off brands and having to return them for weird defects. hugs and hope this helps! My son and I have tried this hard reboot for 16 hours now and it's still stuck on the android screen. It was charged over night to ensure a full charge . Woke up the same thing. We tried the hard reboot and the android screen is still there. We plugged the tablet to our pc, it's says the tablet is working perfectly, how is this possible if we can't get passed the android screen?
Factory wipe doesn't work anymore! After i select wipe data/factory reset select delete all user data/ formatting data/ formatting cache get I get the phrase E: FAILED TO MOUNT / system [invalid argument] data wipe complete. Then when i select REBOOT. my tablet freezes on the android logo? What does failed to mount mean?
My nieces tablet had a password to log on like a screen password she forgot it we tried to do this.... When we get to the dead android guy and then hold the volume button to do the hard reset it doesn't do anything when we hold the volume button. Help please
I bought the prestige 10 for my nephew a couple years ago, it's been in the box pretty much since he got. He is too smart for his own good. he changed the password and forgot it. we can get to the recovery screen but the volume buttons don't work like the video. the v- button takes me to the dead android screen and it will toggle me to the recovery screen but it won't scroll the list, is there anything else I can do.
+Loren Wit , Hey Loren it worked for me u just have to turn the device of holding the Power\Up & Down volume button until it turns off the do the same thing to turn it on. I did it 4 times before getting it right u just have to hold it for awhile it will get ya there... Let me know if it works for u

Utilice la opción "VOL-" para desplazarse hacia abajo para " borrar datos o restablecimiento / Factory" a continuación, pulse el botón " POWER" para seleccionar esta opción. 5. En la siguiente pantalla, desplácese hacia abajo para "Sí - Eliminar todos los datos de usuario" y pulse el "Botón de encendido." 6.
