As one with visual snow, I’ve noticed that it can be experienced watching digital video captured in low light. Except, for me at least, the particles are finer. Snow intensifies significantly during the acute phase of brainstem migraine attacks.
I have been dealing with this Visual Snow Syndrome for over 40 years and it’s debilitating at times. I found out about this VSS condition while taking a visual eye exam in elementary school. I had static and blurry vision in my left eye. 😞 I now have a mild case of VSS in my right eye. I really hope that they can find a cure for this neurological conditions.
I had surgery to remove a meningioma and upon waking up from surgery I had limited vision and this thing I now know as Visual snow. No Dr told me what it was. I would describe my vision as that feeling of looking at the sun for too long. It's nice to have a name for this thing that I have. Thank you.
I was born with VSS and chronic migraines and thought all the pain and discomfort was normal until this year. Lol good thing I'm on track to hopefully have relief soon. Botox day is a month away. Woo!
