Vitalant Lifelines: Nicole Hall 

Blood recipient and Vitalant ambassador Nicole Hall personally thanked several of her blood donors at the Denver Botanic Gardens on June 3, 2024.
While giving birth to her third child Haxton, Nicole experienced an amniotic fluid embolism - a life-threatening birth complication that can affect both the mother and child. Amniotic fluid embolism is rare and is a leading cause of maternal death.
Nicole received 48 units of blood and multiple platelet and plasma transfusions to save her life after giving birth. She is now a regular blood donor and fierce advocate for spreading awareness about Amniotic fluid embolism and blood donation.
