In 2009 Seckbach was nominated by the Associated Press and won the Mark Twain Award.
In June 09' Lil Wayne samples Seckbach in his song 'Kobe Bryant. And in 2010 Seckbach won the Boxing Reporter of The Year award from ATG Radio. in 2017 Seckbach received two Awards for his boxing coverage.
Away from sports Elie has covered major news events and has won both a Golden Mike and an Emmy Award.
His reports have been featured on: AOL Sports FanHouse & NBC TV, The LA Daily News and CBS 2 News.
Prior to that Seckbach reported for leading news outlets in Israel.

I love to see my two favorite boxers like this. Showing that boxing is the noble art of self defense, and the boxer are gentlemen with big harts. This guys will never be forgotten.

Lmao hell no. Both are incredible fighters, but calling them the best ever in the division is simply untrue. Lewis up there in the top 20, but I wouldn't even put Vitali in that list. Muhammad Ali, Joe Louis, George Foreman, Joe Frazier, Riddick Bowe and Larry Holmes are all better boxers than the two of them

This is the first time I've seen this, and it has literally moved me. I absolutely LOVED both of these fighters, and love them both as role models. I had no idea, but am not at all surprised, that they wound up being friends. Boxing - when it's done right - is the best vehicle towards manhood. I've seen so many fighters become men, and so many quitters become something worse. These two men were bitter enemies when they entered the ring together, but the respect they learned is something that cannot be explained to someone who has never gloved- up. The former fighter in me is moved. The former fighter-coach in me is proud!

At the beginning of their careers, the media tried to stereotype the Klitschko brothers as evil James Bond-type East European thugs. They were too smart to play that game, however, and slowly earned the respect of their peers via their intellectual, social and political engagement.

@@jeffkaos6286 Lewis won the final round and 2 of the last 4. Lewis was landing huge uppercuts at will. Lewis would have got fitter for the rematch and ended Vitali early, but he had nothing to prove anymore beating Tyson and Klitschko in his final 2 fights would be enough gloss for any heavyweight!!!!

I mustve missed the "best friends" part. Anyhow, this is the class of heavyweight boxing guys. REGARDLESS of era. But I've always had the feeling that Lewis kinda looks down-for lack of a better phrase-on VK. I'm not sure why. But even here, I dont think he looks VK in the eye once. I look my "best friends" in the eye when I talk to them. Maybe Europeans are different. But im confident that these guys arent on eachothers mailing list for Christmas cards lol.

They were never bitter rivals, it was business. The bitter rivalry that Lewis had was with Bowe. He was the only one that Lewis really hated.

Vitali won the rounds, lewis used the side of the glove to cut his eye. Vitali could of won this fight and the rematch. but lewis retired because u knew he cant stand a chance. vitali is underrated

Man take the eye patch off. Obviously you didn’t watch the fight and stole your opinion of a troll because you don’t know what you are talking about. It was a clear, 4-2 to Vitali. At the end of the 6th it looked like Lennox was starting to get going, Vitali looked tired and just wanted to hug. And you saying Lennox purposely cut him with the side of glove is so far wrong, to think this you are very dumb.

@@danewoods4712 , whether or not lennox deliberately cut him with the side of the glove is irrelevant, under standard boxing protocol the fight should never have been ruled a tko victory for Lennox, it should have gone to the score cards or ruled a no contest

Since the cut was deemed from a punch and not an accidental head butt it’s a TKO, I do understand what you are saying since it went past 4 rounds and therefore should be taken to the cards. But I thought this on happened when it was deemed accidental. I could be wrong though, but pretty sure I’m correct from memory.

vitali was close to getting stopped because he could not see the blood getting in his eye and was starting to ship punishment one of LL worst performance's he was washed up by then thats why klitschko was shouting rematch rematch but very good to see the 2 of them the children need help especially that one called elie you get more sense from the school kids on their questions

Lennox wasnt that old in that fight and he was losing by points IMO, but thats water under the bridge. It is great to see that these guys are true champions outside the ring aswell. Two of the greatest heavyweights ever.

For the record, Vitali WAS stopped, because of the cut. All fighters want to keep going but nobody in their right mind would suggest that it should’ve been allowed to continue. I think all the hypothesis is about what would’ve happened if he hadn’t sustained that cut. Nobody knows of course, but given the patterned the fight up to the cut and how he fought afterwards despite it, and given that he was still ahead on all scorecards despite it, there is a strong case for backing Vitali in that scenario, and in the rematch that never happened. But nobody knows, and it’s all history now.
