Thank you so much for sharing vitamin D health tips, it's helpful to everyone who is suffering from vitamin D deficiency, I have some similar symptoms, that you explain in the video because I work the whole day inside the office, I have no time to receive sunlight,, maybe I will take vitamin d deficiency tablets some time that help me. thanks once again. I am from Pennsylvania USA.

Dr. Saab, non-fortified milk and milk products do not contain vitamin D. In developed countries there is a practice of fortification of milk and cereals with vitamin D before sending to the consumers. But in LIC like Nepal, no vitamin D - fortified food stuffs are available. Egg yolk has very small amount of vit D and button mushroom is the only stuff available in Nepal, which is rich in vit D, but it should also be exposed to sunlight (approx. 12 hrs) before cooking. Fatty fish like Salmon is the only food rich in vit D, which is not easily available in Nepal. The only natural sources is the sunlight. Anybody who is unable to take sunlight has to take vit D supplement (i.e. tablet/capsule). i would suggest Dr. Saab going through international research papers and publications before making presentation of Vit D related facts to the general public. I hope your intention is good and is not to mislead the public.

@@doctorsathi doctor saab thank you for the reply. But if a patient have normal level of calcium, does not taking extra calcium supplement cause hypercalcaemia ? Calcium needs vitamin D or Vitamin D needs calcium for proper functioning of medication ??
