In fact she is doing much more than simply reading the scores; She is doing what a real musician should do: translating the written notes with technic and soul.
You just feel the complete synchronicity with the whole ensemble, and she just drives the tunes with her performance;. There are once in a lifetime synchronicity events like that. This is my favorite Vivaldi performance of Vivaldi Four Seasons yet. They its not just tje sound but how this magnificent ladies and gentlemen flow with the music. It's amazing!
Wow! These girl violinists really get into it! I sent this video and Vivaldi's glorious allegro to his "La Primavera" to my friends as an Easter greeting this year.
I don’t want to be dramatic but I just fell in love with the music, the entire orchestra, the audio and video team, Vivaldi himself, and the lead violinist.
Alana Youssefian turns this Vivaldi favorite into something new and fun, joyful and dynamic. She is a splendid performer who clearly enjoys and has fun with the music, to our great delight.
I would say rediscovered rather than new. This is the playfulness and performative force that was removed from "classical" music during the actual classical period and is only now being rediscovered when musicians stop playing baroque like classical pieces.
I can't imagine the joy on Vivaldi's face if he got to hear this performance of his work. Bach was a big fan of Vivaldi and was deeply influenced by his concertos and arias. In my mind there could be no greater praise as a musician and/or composer than to have Bach himself compliment your work.
Obviously I've heard this piece several times, but this interpretation was crisp, clean and wonderful. I love the fact that it was played using period instruments. I also loved The Winter & Summer as well as all of the other performances you've posted . Thank you for all of them and please continue.
Alana commands the room in a totally charming way. She's expressive without being distracting. I'm seeing this version for the first time, and enjoying it very much!
My neighbors listened horrible music. I put this intrepretation on pretty high volume. Horrible music no more. Thanks Voices of Music! I love you a lot!!!
I did have people next door to myself playing very very loud music so I put the speakers against the wall, full blast, on repeat, same song. Then went out for a long long drink. I've never heard a sound since. Ha ha ha. 👍😎😎😎🍀
I think its the first time that i watch someone be so joyful while playing classical music. Generally they sustain a very stoic face... while this lady is smiling and making connection with the orchestra between bow movements... amazing.
Try the Baltic Guitar Quartet playing Malamatina, it's hilarious! Or, Carmina Burana played by Westdeutsche Rundfunk Orchestra, conducted by Cristian Macelaru and soprano parts sung by Sarah Aristidou. Macelaru and Aristidou also live in the music, smile and obviously enjoy it 🙂 Also, Tuva Semmingsen and Christine Nonbo Andersen from the Danish Royal Orchestra are great to watch and listen to 🙂
I have been listening to this beautiful performance with my now 11 months old son since the start of spring and wish I could describe the smile on his face when the music comes on! It’s the right length for him to enjoy. We have played enough times for him to recognize when it’s the pause and not the end. Rest assured, in the end he claps with shouts of Bavo bavo (bravo!) thank you for the beautiful performance! ❤ pro tip for parents- start playing Vivaldi as per the season for your child and in one year, your child will be able to recognize Vivaldi four seasons!
Good thing to do. My son from birth listened to a classical music CD compilation to his toddler days. He is magnificent student and well accomplished for his age as a young man. 🎯🎯🎯 THIS is music!
I must say, as a trained musician I've heard this concert played so many times. A sickening number of times. But having heard you play other pieces and liking your usual interpretation, I decided to give it a shot. At some point, tears started to form in my eyes. This is truly phenomenal...
The Sound and Recording quality is astounding that I can almost hear the turning of a page in 1:15 . If one day I get rich and old, i would regret not listening to their performance live.
Lei è il violino che prende sembianze umane come Michelangeli per il pianoforte. Artista eccezionale, sublime, espressiva, sicura di sé stessa. Complimenti davvero!
Thank for you bringing Vivaldi to life for the 1500 elementary school students I teach each week! Absolutely the best "Spring" recording I've ever heard (and I've heard many)! Reminds me that we are making MUSIC, not just playing sounds or notes on a page, we are communicating life! Bravo!
Such a spirited and virtuosic performance. I remember Jim Svejda (musicologist with KUSC radio station Los Angeles) saying that the best performances come from players who are clearly enjoying themselves onstage. The wisdom of that observation on clear display here.
winter used to be my favorite concerto from the four seasons, but at this point i'm kinda tired of listening to it over and over again lol. i think this one is my new favorite. it just suits spring perfectly, it's flawless i mean, look at this part at 0:30 it literally sounds like birds, HOW SO?? and i never gave enough credit to this concerto just because it is 'too famous' (the beginning of the 1st movement and stuff). what a mistake huh
The most beautiful channel I have come across in a long time. The overlay of the sonnets is so maniacal. Thank you for giving us company during these tough times.
Oh my God. The subtitles just made me cry rivers listening this. Her interpretation is spotless, so fluid. Thank you God being able to witness such beauty.
What an absolute delight to not just hear this artistry, but also to see all these talented musicians smiling. They’re so deeply passionate about their art. Love this!
This is my go to music, in the car, house, and out and about, especially when I want to sound others out! Oh to see the lead strings being so enthrolled in her music gives it such essence, life, and embodiment! The violin is the most splendid of instruments ; always evoking emotions. 🎯🎯🎯🎯❤️🌎 I would like to encourage everyone to look at the story behind The Four Seasons/Vivaldi🎯💥
I am listening to all 4 movements bc I want a friend to play one of them at my celebration of life when I pass. He would play the entire concerto if I asked him but we are great friends and I dont want him to cry and I know he will.
I love this music of Antonio' Vivaldi Primavera very much. The violinist, Alan looks like a Musr. It is the first experience to feel calmness and cozy environment .
I thoroughly enjoyed the fact they used instruments belonging to the time period, It brought a different level of authenticity. This was very enjoyable to listen to.
Wow, if i may just say something, your baroque violins are PHENOMENAL. The sound, the reverb of the violins is just, astonishing how good it sounds. It sounds so unique, so original, so natural and so emotional. Seems modern day violins (besides the really nice ones), just lack that quality sound. I've been playing the violin for 15 years, and man i really want to play one of these baroque violins!!!
This music gives me the profound power and endless happiness now and forever. Antonio Vivaldi , he is the most excellent composer in the musical history along with W. Mozart. I love and respect Antonio Vivaldi. Vivaldi I can't help to appraise him
We see such a magnificent performance of this beautiful composition, executed by people that is not only talented, but also look extremely elegant. What a delight.
I have heard a lot of performances of this both live and recorded, and have played the viola part in concert, but honestly I've never heard it played this well. Not only is the soloist perfect and virtuosic, but the members of this orchestra are perfect too... not just in their musicianship, but in every other facet of their playing too. You can tell by watching them that it's a passion and fun all rolled into one, which is what music making should be!
Honestly, Music, especially these types of music have the power to transfer you from all the stress, or the way I describe it as, from Chaos to peaceful liberation. I don't know these artists. I don't even from a western country. But these music and their interpretation transcends myself to another dimension. Thanks. #Voices of Music and #Alana Youssefian, I m forever going to stay here.
Bravo, Alana Youssefian and Voices of Music! Excellent interpretation of a beloved piece. I am assigning this as a listening exercise for my High School Orchestra students. Thank you for providing such an uplifting, expressive performance for my students to learn more about Baroque era music and instrumentation.
This is ear candy, it's so great! Thank you for posting this. Incredible orchestra and the lead violinist is amazing! Never enjoyed this piece so much as I did this performance.
Such A Completely, full- in space and - tune- experience! A Remarkable First- Violinist with her stunning expertice and all other qualities! Not to for get her smile! A First- class Leader to the rest of the Orchestra, the member of which seemingly enjoyed playing their tunes. I very deeply enthustiated myself in listening this outstanding work of piece! -Greetings, Antonio!
