Outstanding playing and top notch sound recording. What a wonderfully rich and textured soundscape. So glad Ireland has an orchestra of this quality and authenticity.
It’s so interesting how to Baroque style of playing (no chin rest, different bow and bow hold, cellos don’t use a end pin, instead hold the cella up between their knees) change the sound to fit that time period, it’s so cool
Baroque playing at its best, but I like Vivaldi to be less elegant and more extroverted, like the Italian ensembles "Il Giardino Armonico" or "Europa Galante" play. Really good anyways.
