Can you imagine having one of these back in 1990.?!!! Sure, probably cant jump a river with it, and you wont be leaving it by the train tracks while the group goes swimming in the river, but this would've been very cool back in the day... Maybe even cooler that my old Honda Elite.!! Good stuff Steve.!
I am so happy you did this video! I also got anxious as all hell watching you go through that super narrow sidewalk with the garbage laid out hahaha I was like damn he's got skill
Thanks, I may be older and beat up now but my brain still thinks like when I was younger and really good at freestyling and mountain biking thinking I can still do everything you used to do but you know you can't anymore.. probably do to much stupid stuff because of how good I used to be at it.
@@ShenRC I feel your pain slightly lol I'm pretty out of shape did a 2 mile bike ride the other day and was exhausted so many hills on my trail I mean I'm only 28 that should be easy but when ya get in a lazy rut for years it's hard to bounce back and I think this bike will be great to slowly get me back into decent shape with peddle assist I'm also gonna love it for going to the store for little things and not wasting gas in my car over a tiny mile drive
@@MrBears1024 Yea you will get better as you keep at it.. with my i am just in a lot of pain from all bad body parts from pushing and abusing my body with weight lifting the freestyle quarter pipe riding and mountain biking..it did me in for sure! I will link the seat for you if you want to look at it just let me know I will find it.
@@ShenRC absolutely the other day after years of no riding I went for that 2 mile ride and sitting down after was a painful challenge surprisingly my legs were perfectly fine but damn did it hurt to sit down on anything even a lazy boy recliner hurt

I'm very interested in buying this bike, my only concern is that I'm 6ft. 2in. The specifications say up to 6ft 2in , so I'm right there. Do you think this would be a problem? I watched another video with someone 6ft 3in, and said it was fine. I can't buy a bigger bike because I need one that folds because I don't have anywhere to keep a full size bike. Just wondered what your thoughts are. Thanks
Hi I am only 5ft 6" I think it will work but you may have to buy a adjustable stem and make it higher or angled up more the bars so your more upright because the seat will be up high for your hight..you may even have to buy a longer seatpost. I have some more videos on here of this bike and also on my biking channel PH fishing & biking. Hope this helps
nice maneuver....that's right hahaha....this was great dude....this is an awesome....watch out for the garbage cans hahaha....bugs in the face is the worst
I rode for 3 hours 20 plus miles just now, in medium heavy rain!!! They rainproof!!! I just put plastic wrap around led and battery to ensure but yeah, they rainproof and I'm soaking!!!
@@ShenRC Yeah, not really the thing to do for fun, lol. Just so happens I had deliveries to do and the ViVi continues to impress. My other Mukkpett also rain proof except for LCD screen which I jus put plastic dime bag over, 😂.
@@ShenRC Hey Shen, you wouldn't know size of seat post tube in width radius? I can't see the size spec on frame. Planning to buy a seat post with shocks, they latest devices of extra suspension for single or no shock frames but still be using for the ViVi for ultimate comfort.
@@gdinme3180 Hi 28.6mm I got a crane creek shock post but this one for the $ is supposed to be really good. search this one on the web. SR Suntour SP12 NCX

Hi I like it, make sure you bring a flat patch kit and air pump with you because these tires are very thin on this bike and your better safe than sorry you don't want to get a flat and be stranded.
@@BawlzOfuzzYour welcome, I would highly recommend the specialized hard rock R I got these on my mountain bike they are smooth enough for the street and work awesome off road and are only $24.99ea! www.als.com/spclzd-tire-hardrockr/p
The Gear motors you can ride full throttle until battery drained( commute motor) The Gearless motors you can go as fast as 32 and higher full throttle but,,,, motor will cut off for few minutes to cool down after 3 to 5 miles. I have the best of both worlds by modification of a Dual motor...
I purchased my Vivi on March 12, 2024.It worked for about a week ago but now I can't seem to charge the battery. Not sure why it won't charge. Any ideas?
Hi Your wanting only throttle speed control I am guessing? It's super easy to do, there are 4 screws to open up the plastic box on the bike to take the cover off, take the screws out and open the cover and then by the pedals behind the big sprocket gear you will see a sensor with a wire on it all you need to do is follow that wire into the box and unpluge it from the controller unit, it's very simple. Hope this helps.
Man I rode 5 miles today and had an absolute blast on the vivi and only lost 1 bar of power hills meant nothing to me. Lmao I'm in love with this bike.
COOL! did you use stock mode or unlock it for top speed of 20MPH...I find medium speed to be great most all the time even in the 15mph stock mode..Do more videos!
@@ShenRC oh I held the + - and I swear it felt like 23mph it was awesome I smoked a trail on medium in half the time it normally takes I'm so happy. I don't know what uphill ridding is anymore haha
@@MrBears1024 cool! the way to see if you in unlocked mode I just have the bike on the kick stand and tilt it so the rear tire comes off the ground and give it gas when it's in H and press and hold the + and - buttons for like a second or two and you will see the rear tire goes much faster.
Hi only thing that makes it faster is press and hold the + and - button at the same time for a second and it will make the rear wheel go faster... I do it when the kick stand is down tilt the bike so the rear wheel is off the ground and give it throttle and do what I said above you will hear the rear wheels RPM get faster. That's as fast as you can get this to go. Thanks for looking.
I never even folded the bike so I don't know but from what I seen it would be the handlebar that would make it wide... you can buy 2 quick change axles for the front wheels and take them off real fast I think that would make them even much more portable.
With that rod there it got me thinking of a new sport. Ebike jousting lol Waiting on a delivery of this bike myself, also got my gf the Ancheer folding ebike 20" wheels. But got me the Vivi 26" mountain bike you have there. I noticed, ViVi, Ancheer, Samebike, VOZCVOX and many more use same parts, which is a good thing I guess it means getting replacement parts of same spec might be easier. Though I am guessing maybe post BREXIT, the cost of getting these bikes to UK hurts as that bike once £500-£600 is now in the £700 to £800 range but that still a lot cheaper than I can get an ebike for from some of the more well known bike dealers in the UK.
I have one of those on the way so I can use it go get too and from work, only thing is, my work is 16 miles away and wondered if thai bike would make it there
The best way to get the most mileage out of your bike is to do what I ended up doing, Get the sensor wire from the crank and follow it into the control box and disconnect it to stop the pedal assist mode . Only use throttle and when your on flat or not bad ground pedal the bike when you don't need to use the motor. Reason why I say to do this is because when pedal assists on anytime you pedal the motor kicks on even on flat ground and you waste battery power. you need to take the control box cover off with the 4 screws. You could also power the bike on and off but that would be a pain to do all the time when you just wanted to pedal on flat ground. Hope this helps.
Hey so I just did my first distance test and mine died 10 miles into a 13 mile ride from a full charge, any tips to extend that battery life another few miles to make that 13 mile mark?
Hi keep it in standard mode with top speed 15mph Or if you did what I did you can go crazy far, Disconnect the sensor on the crank of the bike that goes into the control box so you can only activate the motor by the hand throttle this way when your on flat ground you can pedal without having the motor come on all the time or even when your going down a slight hill, I found a lot of times when you don't need pedal assist from the motor in stock form it has to make the motor get used and it drains the battery and with just the hand throttle you can apply how much power you need and when to use it or not use it at all. Hope this helps.
@@zzzzz329 Hi there is 4 Philips screws on the back of the box you need to remove then you can follow the wire from the crank sensor and unplug it... it works like a charm it feels like I can go for ever if I just pedal without the motor on the flat parts when riding.
Hi it does this like most e-bikes if your using it the battery can drop a bar then when you stop for a bit it will come back up, that's from the battery voltage drop from under strain it will drop and at rest come back up, a better quality battery won't do this as much because the voltage won't drop under load like a battery that is made with cheaper cells. Thanks for watching.
Hi don't know it can be going bad, how a battery lasts and performs is all from how you use it. always flooring it running battery way down to the last bar then charging it or how you store it.
@@michellerogers3090 Still running great! I just don't post a lot of videos up here because I am really a RC channel... may do a update video showing all my upgrades I have done to it so far though. I also have a few videos on with the bike on my fishing channel, Fishing with PH you can check out.
Steve that was biker's cool man does it charge while you're peddling and you really need to make a custom fishing rod holder some PVC pipe some bungee cord bro great video
Awesome video. Also I think if you hold + - it will be derestricted letting it get closer to 20mph and with that 30ah you could potentially ride the motor all the way there and back I would imagine
You can go far on the stock battery I was surprised.. I know I could probably go the 16 miles floored all the way in normal 15MPH mode if I wanted. Probably a good idea to give the motor a rest period every now and then though...I don't know how hot it gets have to temp check it one time..If they made it correctly it should run cool no matter how you use it though.
@@ShenRC yeah that makes sense don't wanna over work it for sure every downhill I get I'm gonna coast it all the way absolutely. Also yeah a heat check would be a great test to be sure it runs cold. I'm about 210 so I imagine it will run a lot slower sadly lol but I would probably end up using peddle assist a decent bit and hopefully drop a few pounds doing that. I would definitely like to see a possible battery video for the new one you're getting that would be awesome for a tutorial and quite informative on the pros and cons. It's great that you do these videos because it looks like the vivi bike is a great practical investment and people should know more about it in my opinion
@@MrBears1024 yea the more you weigh the harder it will be for the bike to push up hill you will have to peddal to help it out. with a 30ah battery shese probably can run it for ever and I think also because the larger capacity the bike may gain a bit more omph to it maybe some more tourque. I actually think I wasted my $ now on the battery the stock one works and goes far enough for me. Thanks
@@ShenRC I mean yeah the stock does a great job of course I just figured I would grab the 30 ah battery since theyre all the same price I figured hey why not I can basically swap batteries so I always know one is charged or bring both batteries for safety on a super long run
Hi Yes press and hold the + and - buttons down at the same time when the bike is powered on for 1 or 2 seconds and it unlocks it and you can go 20MPH, Thanks
@@ShenRC My Vivi battery is attached to the inside of the frame. Will the upgraded battery be a different size? If so how will it fit in the current housing?
HI put it in H mode than hold the + and - keys down for like a second or so and then if you did it right you will hear the rear wheel turn much faster when you floor it when off the ground and you will hit 20+ MPH! Thanks for watching.
I have to say I cleaned the brakes real good and for some reason they still squeak so bad man I even used gloves. Accidentally slightly stripped the outer casing of the front caliper
wow you stripped it... I hate to say it disk brakes always squeak it's a known thing with them... they have a cheap brake alignment tool you slip it on the disk and through the caliper and looses the 2 Allen screws on the caliper unit on the frame and then pull the brakes and hold them and then tighten up the two bolts and it makes the pads spaced from the disk evenly. I always have to degrease my disks with rubbing alcohol and sometimes I scuff both sides of the disks with sand paper and reclean with alcohol and re brake them in...yes there is a proper way to break disk brakes in for bikes or they won't work good.
@@MrBears1024 I liked my old trek brake pad V type better than these disk brakes... these disk brakes are finicky and anything contaminates them and makes them go haywire! can't touch the disk with your hands can't get any oils on them any bike cleaners too finicky for me!
@@ShenRC ah ok. I have everything aligned and all that but I had to take the whole thing apart just to sand the pads down and after cleaning everything I went to put it all back together the spring and outer left cover with spring slightly stripped it is still useable but I just hate that I stripped it I was thinking of grabbing better calipers so I can pop the pads out much easier to clean them when I need to
Here is a first ride story on my new VIVI E-bike, non-folding. First I want to say this is my first ride on my new bike, first ride in 40 + years, and first ride since turning 60 years old. I will say I cut my ride by way more than half of what I thought I would do. And it is a good thing I did. I got back to my driveway and fell down. I didn't hurt myself, but I did fall. Then I fell twice more trying to get up. My legs were like noodles. I had to use my car, to help me up. With the BIKE, I need to make some adjustments for comfort. One of the first needs to be changing the seat. This thing is HARD. And I find that I have forgotten some aspects of riding, like making corners. I wound up in the middle of the street when I didn't want to be a couple times. I only went about 3 miles. I did clime at least one of the area hills that worried me a little and made it up with no problem. There are a lot more hills in the area that are bigger and or steeper, and I not sure if the bike will clime them or not. Need more practice runs. For a short ride it was fun. I need to stop falling down when the ride is over.
Hi sorry to hear you fell, You will gain better balance after riding a few times and I would go to a open spot like a big parking lot or some place empty and just practice riding before going on to the street. as for the bike check out my last vivi bike video I show all my upgrades I think the seat I show will be good for you. Thanks for watching.
@@ShenRC Hi, I really like the parking lot suggestion thanks. I don't think the fall was a matter of balance. My legs just gave out on me. Like trying to stand on egg noodles. I got over it quick, but needed to use my car to stand up. I'm 5' 11" 220 lbs. Naturally I need to be able to pedal, but I want a cushy seat. The one it came with hurts my bum. I want to raise the handle bars some, even if I need a new stem to do it. The parking lot suggestion is great because I have no idea what gear the bike is in. And I did zero shifting, while I was out. I use to leave my 10 speed in 7th all the time. But that was when I was 18 or less.
Hey Shen. I just uploaded videos of my upgraded or modified 26LGB. Just go to this channel videos. 3 of them. I believe the Vivi battery is regenerated of energy being put back if using PAS or going downhill. I also using 2nd motor and battery which also regenerates the Vivi battery. I love these bikes and planning to buy another one before they do sell out. But check out my mods!
@@ShenRC Yes, I got them to exceed performance of the higher end expensive e bikes. They having all the hi tech gadgets ,devices, premium parts, ect. But their performance was limited. I read all the specs of matching of the performance field for my DIY s . Unlike many DIY Dual AWDs on RU-vid of using two Gearless motors which is overkill of being practical , I knew to stay away from those mainstream set ups. Using a Gear motor as the base ( riding around housing streets of deliveries ) of using a 2000watt Gearless as a Turbo Booster ( on streets of 35mph and higher) to boost speeds on straightaway streets or blvds. A lot to take in of doing set up to be practical. The weight is a huge factor on these tires of 1.95 ( I swapped them for 2.125) and set up you really have to consider certain things you can't do of a limit( i.e. I can't use 72v batteries and no need thou, the weight is too much of being a burden) If you need info of modifying , just hit me up and more than happy to assist.
