My late father had 2 old Audi's. Bulletproof, unique in Australia there wasn't a lot of them around Alfa, Mazza drivers would beep horns and exchange waves and smiles I now do the same when I see an old vintage anything where u see the driver is passionate Vlad and Shannon's thanks
My dad had the first Audi Super 90 in Ireland same colour but unfortunately the cylinder head blew within the first eleven months of use, so he sold it. As quick as a GT Cortina, it was a lovely car.
A really lovely example and the dark blue paint suits the car. There can't be too many of these in Australia. My recollection is that Audi's linked rings were a fairly uncommon sight on our roads until perhaps the 80s? I do remember there being an Audi Fox in the town where I grew up. I also remember people referring to it as an Ordi Fox. I suppose it made sense to people not familiar with the brand to think Audi, as in audio,
Early 90s was gonna buy 1 of these, drivable $100. Goofy large headlamps. Hummed & Harred. Later went to go do the deal & all his ol cars were gone!. The nice old fella had passed away.
Fabulous! I have a better chance of winning lotto than seeing one of these on the road. How did it even get into the country? Becoming quite sought after in Europe now.
Sold in Australia as the Auto Union Audi 90 from 67 or ,68. In the 1969 car mag prices data in the back . .$3740 so a bit cheaper than a Ford Fairlane ,V8. Same price as a Holden Brougham. One raced at Bathurst 67 or 68 from memory.
