The reason Barkov is a colonel is due to that scene being 20 years before present day

Two things: 1) The "General" epaulets that you showed are "Marshal of the USSR" epaulets. You are correct, that Barkov's epaulets are a Colonel's grade. 2) The VDV (Airborne Troops) are not the only ones who were the striped undershirt, Naval Infantry wore/wear them as well.

The factory would make sense. His attack in MW3 in London did involve a deadly Gas.

The reason he had colonial on when he took them prisoner 20 years is because he wasn’t a general yet it is 20 years prior he was only a colonial at the time.

Big fan of your videos. Admittedly there was a part of me that at the start of the video that thought there was too much exposition, but on 2nd viewing I enjoyed it.

There is also a skin for Yegor called "Commuter" in the "Mother Russia" operator pack that is an obvious reference to No Russian. Could be hinting towards Makarov being in the story or just a small reference who knows.

Makarov's gas being used with his bomb maker Volk in MW3 when France, Germany, Russia, and other countries are used for chemical attacks by Makarov? Hmmm

Another point to note (linking into Barkov's compound in Georgia) is that the safehouse in Loose Ends in MW2 where the Piccadilly Circus bombing article is, is on the Georgian/Russian border, quite close to Chechnya. Could just be a coincidence, but I found that interesting.

My head canon theory is that the chemical gas creator came from Freidrich Steiners descendent. The same Nazi scientist from the first cod black ops game. The same scientist that sided with Dragovich and using these chemical weapons to almost cause some war with the USA in 1968 but that’s halted because of Alex Mason and the team. However though, Kravchenko survived and probably continued where Dragovich left off but more low key, and there’s a theory that Friedrich has a child that worked with the colonel himself and continues its fathers work and even survived towards providing those chemical weapons from Barkov to Makarov and this can connect the old and reboot modern warfare games to black ops itself. Even the invasion of Urzikstan wasn’t caused by Russia but rather something sinister. A false flag attack that has even Moscows attention to justifying attack the country or face terrorist attacks in the motherland and that’s where Barkov comes in, and also Makarov is somewhere else and building his party cause with selling of weapons and trafficking of people. He said money can buy things. Even power. So he’s spending and investing money for the yuktobanian civil war. And after the events of Chernarus of 2009 from arma 2, this is where the ultranationalists rise up socially, politically and militarily. The loss from a war close to home sews distrust among the current government who are run by western interests. And the rise of the Arab spring pushed Assad to takeover ardistan and gets Imran Zakhaev to come out of hiding and pushes his ultranationalist cause. But I’m reality, Makarov has been pushing the cause militarily and of course Boris Vorshevsky in the social poltical manner of course. The death of Zakhaev got Makarov into making his war go all lawless and dirty as necessary and this gets Boris to actually kick Makarov out of the Ultranationalist party due to his insanity. And the war turned to the favor of the ultranationalists and they kicked out the westerners out of their country in 2013. And of course, gaining such power, his Inner Circle will get more chemical weapons to cause terrorist attacks in Borealia and course using connections with the chemical gas scientist Steiners descendants and of course rogue Soviet general Roman Barkov, Makarov plans his war against the western nations and stages his No Russian false flag attack on Zakhaev airport and scapegoats undercover cia agent Joseph Allen towards turning the public against Borealia and Borealia getting blame doesn’t have outside nations supporting this country. And of course the war has push for high demand on chemical gas and Barkov and Steiner gain richness from Makarov. What could be a major twist is the chemical gas scientist is behind everything. That causing the war between west and east is part of the scientists plan in reviving the reich or a form of hydra ruling new world order.

Fun theory: The biridge you start on in the last mission of Modern Warfare 2019 is the same bridge that Soap kills Zakhaev on in the original Modern Warefare.

Makarov was not behind the Piccadilly attack. We clearly see the attackers watching an Al Qatala video beforehand, they claim responsibility, and the remainder of the terrorist cell you take down in "Clean House" is explicitly working for the Wolf. This is a remake, so maybe it was a subtle nod to the newspaper events in MW2, but the context is completely different. That paper says Makarov did it as a statement against Great Britain for killing Zakhaev. In the new timeline both Zahkaevs are just now being introduced. We haven't even hit the events of the original Modern Warfare yet. I don't doubt that Makarov will be introduced eventually, and maybe we'll see he was involved, but I think it'll be more like MW3, where he was just seen being sort of around for events from the previous games, not a secret mastermind.

Bro, in mw 3 the Davis family reunion mission, there is a truck that explodes gas in London.similarly in mw 2019 there is a mission of London

This is actually a really good theory. When he said that makarov was the one you could’ve possibly been making the gas it makes me thing of that mission in MW3 where the little girl, and her parents are at London looking at Big Ben. The truck explodes and the gas is green. When Hadir uses the gas in the Highway of death missions it’s green, and when you see hadir and Farrah as little kids and the soldiers shoot gas everywhere when the dad is trying to farah home the gas is green. So it could possibly be that Makarov is responsible.

Makarov's presence is what is missing in the reboot. It was fun, but the original series has more gravitas and just feels more badass. I hope the next installment can bring in Soap, Ghost, Makarov etc. Hoping so after that end credits scene.

Barkov could be working for Makarov because Barkov seems like a loyalist.

Still reckon that MW (2019) timeline is an alternate timeline that occurs after killing Makarov in "One Shot, One Kill," in MWR and "Changing the Future." That mission still occurs in MW 2019 Universe, as stated by Price in the conversation with Laswell at the end of the game.
