VLAND Headlight DRL Wiring and Review 

To make adjustment easier when swapping headlights, with my Tacoma I turned my OEM lights on and marked the cutoff on my garage door with masking tape. After installing aftermarket lights I adjusted to match. I’m installing VLAND headlights on my FRS today and will do the same.

Thanks so much for this wiring video. I have an 86 GT model in Australia with the 6 pin headlights and this was so easy to follow, especially for the DRL fuse tap. Everything is functioning as desired. A lot of local installation videos/guides here are just for the plug n play 8 pin headlight 86 GTS and BRZ models, so this was very helpful. Cheers mate!

Timing for this video couldn’t have been more perfect. I installed and wired my vland that same way you did at first. DRL wasn’t coming on when handbrake went down. Going to wire it to the fuse box this weekend

Had mine for 3 days on aye Dodge Charger ,got some high end d2 my lights are brighter than most 2020 cars I love them !!

Hey, I bought some VLAND Headlights directly from the VLAND website, which also included a pair of D2S LED bulbs. Approximately a month ago, I installed these headlights but I've encountered some issues since then, primarily involving blown fuses. My FRS just recently emitted a slight smoke inside, accompanied by a burning smell, indicating a possible wire issue. Upon inspecting the interior fuse box, I found no signs of burning or melting. While my taillights are operational, my headlights, daytime running lights, blinkers, and hazards are not functioning. Additionally, the blue high beam symbol remains illuminated constantly, even with the key is removed. Despite attempting to toggle the headlights off and back to "auto," and vice versa, the issue persists, suggesting a potential problem with the blinker switch/arm or the wiring leading up to it. I’m thinking it might have to do with the current output of the LEDs. It seems they draw a lot of power from my battery so I’m wondering if the D2H HIDs with the ballasts are the better option. I really love the look of these headlights, and it pains me to witness my car malfunction unexpectedly due to this modification. I've disconnected the battery to prevent further damage or burning. I have the 8pin stock car and for some reason the boomerang(C Light) does not turn on at all howveer on my spec d headlights i had to splice into the lower turn signal light in order for the CLighg to be running all time

I gotta ask. Are you still happy with the Vland headlights? I just ordered a pair for my Silverado and then read some awful reviews. Just wondering.

Could you include the extra connectors you got in the desc? The DRL has been driving me crazy lol and I could use part links.

Hello there. Just installed vlands this weekend and trying to sort this out. I have a 13 brz. Which white wire do I need to splice into? The one coming from the headlight?

so I have a 2018 86 with vlands and im also trying to get the DRLs to run with the auto switch instead of having to turn the stalk every time I drive the car. I have them plugged in correctly but the DRLs dont come on with the stalk in the auto position so what do I need to do to make them work properly? Is it the same process as this video?

Could you make a video about how to adjust the headlights? My frs doesn’t use the leveling system.

Probably a hit in the dark. I have them wired like you mentioned and the small 10FUSE keeps blowing out/ popping which isnt allowing me to run my DRL it pops within seconds of install

I’m having slight issues with mine, was curious if you would know anything? I have a BRZ. I watched the install video and followed the directions but for some reason my low beams and high beams are not working, with everything plugged in. The DRLs and turn signals do work though. I checked my fuses and relays, both are good. Is it possible that I received a fault set with burnt out headlights?

Bro I know this video is too old, hopefully you can answer me..... So I have a weird situation, I have already a fuse tap adapter but on my wipers for my foglights. The fuse adapter is covering the space were you put the fuse adadpter for the drls so I can't connect it in the same place. In which other area of the fuse box could I connect the drls so they can turn on when the car is on?

Everything with mine is fine but the blinker lights always stay on when i turn on the headlights. I have an oem 8 pin connector on my 86

I actually really like the headlights of the stock 2020 brz but these look sick AF too. Do you know if anywhere has a variable resister to change the blinker speeds?

I have one question, so the 5ft black wire that leads to the other side, where did that 5ft black wire come from? Im getting my vlands in a few days and I’m just trying to prepare for the installation as much as possible

How do you adjust the Vland headlights? Do you connect the ACC plug to the Up/Down motor plug?

Hey Kevin so from your 1st video of this installation I installed it how you said for my 86 and thought it was plug in play however the turn signals stayed on solid, and when I connected it back to how it came out the box my hazards on my taillights flashed way too fast

Have you had any problems with them aways being on and the turn signals? As far as people not being able to see your turn signals because of the DRL. Someone told me it could be an issue, I have already done the wiring but just wondering about your experience

I have a 2019 86, and although these headlights shipping with HIDs is cool, I have HIDs from the factory is there any way to actually pull the bulb from the headlight, and maybe seat the factory one in them?

So I have the new model of the vland headlights. This guide really did help out with the running light issue! But now I noticed when I put the e-brake down, both my low and high beams are running. Is there a fix for this too?

Recently installed the vland headlights on my 2016 frs and once I started up the car they lit up and automatically shut off. None of my lights seem to work except my brake light. Anyone know why this may have happened??

You are wrong about Vlands does not come with HID projector. I have vlands with built in HID kit and they are perfect.

Have some of your sequential yellow LEDs died? I have two LEDs in the middle of the left headlight that died. It makes my turn signal weird because there is a gap between the line of LEDs when all of them are on. I'm hoping someone here knows how to fix this or how to change the yellow LEDs

Thank god this has been a question I’ve been asking on every single install video of these headlights and it’s finally answered. Also is there any way to run an LED bulb on these? I know vland has a specific bulb size to run LED but since these are olm that comes w HID I was wondering if there’s a way alto swap it out
