I also don't understand it's point, people say that it would keep the colour original and hence high resale value but you already gave nearly a lakh rs so the resale value is already less .... I think some people just need satisfaction that their paint would be safe nothing else

Hey let me clarify things for you point wise Firstly PPF is not a mandatory requirement, hence even oem don’t provide it in stock vehicles, also because it is labour intensive and cannot be done by a machine and secondly some buyers might want it and some won’t (since it is a subjective call) hence it unnecessarily increases the cost of the buying vehicle, puts you as an oem in a compromising situation in the tough market. Secondly, the reason why one would want to get ppf done are: a. Self healing properties help maintain the gloss of the car for longer times, hence giving you a much presentable car over a period of time b. Resistance against heavy duty damages and vandalism. You do not have to get repainted every time so no tension of colour matching, quality of paint job, mismatch or fading due the the above 2 reasons c. in case if a panel ppf needs to be changed, it can be done within hours compared to painting which would take at-least 2 days. So it saves crucial time for people who are always on the clock d. Yes it is expensive, but it saves the hassle and tension over a longer period of time. You can drive more carefree and maintenance of the vehicle also becomes easier. Now it is not a product for everyone because everyone might not need it, and it also has its limitations like it cannot prevent dents or heavy accidents. But then no product is perfect and not everyone needs to get it done on their car. Also, when we promote the service, we tell people that if you are looking for a heavy duty paint protection then, PPF is the product for you. And if you do not want any of those things, even then car would work and live just fine. It’s just that your car would look old and ill maintained in comparison to a car which had ppf in say a 5 year time, thats it. The kinky thing you do need to make sure is that the product applied on the car is a branded and researched or tested good quality product, because firstly it is expensive and hence needs backing and secondly with better RnD comes better life and performance. Your reply was very detailed..some other query as a customer 1 As a resident of mumbai there is a lot of rain, humidity here so does this ppf helps from rust if there are minor scratches where the paint will peel off and without ppf it will rust within days.. 2 In open parking the paint also fades off after few years or white turns yellowish will this prevent any of it.. I am also planning for matte finish car so is this product more important than glossy finish car..
