I love the effect in the beginning of the video, Ivar! Did you say how much the cables were? You know what I’d recommend for your “museum” room…a pair of Piano black Klipsch RP600M’s😁Add a small sub and you can rock out just fine. An album I’d recommend is by the British band, It Bites. Their 1988 release, Once Around The World, is a combination of well crafted metal, rock/ prog rock songs.
Hi there my friend. I will start with the speakers that I have and go from there. Klipsch is normally not on my shortlist, but who knows 😉 Thanks for the album tip 👍 I will check it out
If you are looking for a universal high end speakers for a reasonable price you could try DIY scanspeak speakers by Troels design or some local speaker builder to make one on order. You will be very pleasently suprised what pretty budget speakers can do.
Hoi ivar. Fijn weekend. Gr André de vries.
You basically will have a near field setup in such a small and cluttered room. That will help with room modes.😊 Don't think it is the ideal setting for Rock music, when you want to start head banging.
Wow, I did not even think about the headbanging part 🫤 Near field came to mind, but moving around will become impossible. I will have to redesign the room. Thanks for the tip 👍
@@theaudiophilebarista2424 Thank you for the great content. With Nirvana, "Nevermind" is great to start with. Probably "In Utero" or "MTV Unplugged in New York" would be the followup acquisitions. There are countless more I could recommend, but those are great starters to see if you are interested in the genre.
