Helloooo,
I'm currently a second year dental student at ASDOH (Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health)! In this vlog you will see from start to finish what it is like to learn how to perform root canal therapy on real teeth! It was a very challenging but fun couple of weeks. In this video I also give a short explanation as to what the steps of a root canal are, and you'll get to see me and the gang having tons of fun in the sim clinic of course... watch out for scorpions!! ;)

I remember when i was 10-11 year old i got 7 extraction....from then to now Dentistry became my dream job ❤️🥺...... because when i go dental hospital i have another type of goosebumps their and when i see their instruments ohhh damnnn theyy make me so happppy and i want to touch them 🤧🥺 Ur vlogs give mee so much motivation and satisfaction ❤️

Jasmin has had multiple reports in dental school and she failed couple classes almost remediated. Never want here as my dentist and most people understands dentists all they care for patients is money grab which is what she is doing!

In our school this is how we do it based on the module, we are the same I think hehe -Pre-operative radiograph -Access Preparation (when you feel the drop you’ll know you’ve found the pulp chamber) -Orifice Opening -Crown Down -Working Length Registration -Apical Preparation -Step Back -Final Flaring -Temporization -Master Cone -Obturation -Compaction -Restoration Anyway, good luck fellow stuDENT! 💗🥰

Hi! I am currently a freshman at UMD in hopes to be a dentist soon in the future. I was wondering what your major was in undergrad and how you studied for the DAT? I absolutely love your videos they are so thorough and explain the procedure well and I found it very exciting to see you complete the steps! I was also wondering for the root canal when do you know where to stop and when you have reached patency?

Hi Ashmi! this is a great question. At the end of a root canal the canal starts to become narrower right at the end, this is the point of patency and that is where you want the end of your file and root canal filling material to end. First you would take an x-ray of the patients tooth and try to measure on the x-ray how far down the end of the root is. Then when you clean the canal with the files you can verify that you've reached the end with a device called an apex locator, then you take another x-ray to verify that you are at the stopping point. I hope this helps!

Hey Jasmine, love this vlog!! How do you like your new loupes? I am interested in Q-optics prismatic too, would love to hear your feedback! (Perhaps a potential video topic? :P) Btw did you purchase the plastic loupe strap separately? My Q-optics rep only showed me the conventional nylon type of straps.

Hey! I've really been wanting to do a video on this topic thank you! I'll be working on it soon. I absolutely love these loupes and I would recommend them over any other 3.5+ magnification loupe. The strap came with! when you order it should come with the newest strap style.

Hi there! It is definitely possible to go to dental hygiene school and then dental school, as long as you meet the pre-requisite requirements. Sorry physics is a must! Every dental school will require physics.

I went to the dentist last week they said I haven't old metal filling with a cavity starting on it it's sensitive to cold stuff already does that mean it's starting to rot more

Sorry theres not much I could say without seeing your x-rays but it sounds like it would be in your best interest to have the filling replaced as soon as you can because the decay will only continue growing from here :( Hope that helps!

How do you choose which loupes are best?

Hey great question! it was a really tough decision. my school works with 3 loupe vendors (q-optics, designs for vision, and oroscoptic) so we were able to try on all the loupes they sell and decide based on what each of us needs.

It definitely is a lot of work! but we do have lectures and tests about what we are working on so it gives us that extra reinforcement to commit everything to memory :)
