Hi Brooke or anyone who is reading this. I am a 22 year old from the Czech Republic currently studying math and computer science at Charles university. I have never commented under any of your videos because I never felt like it was needed and I honestly don’t think that’s ever going to change.What I mean by this is that your fanbase is extremely supportive and I have never really seen any hateful comments. Still, I feel like you should somehow know about my story to hopefully motivate you and most importantly to show how your videos have helped all of us overcome all kinds of struggles we have had to go through. In April 2016 my mom was shot at a bank in the city center of Prague and unfortunately died on the spot (coincidentally on my birthday). She was probably the nicest human being to ever live on this planet so the fact that this happened completely shattered everyone in our family circle. A day or two later both me and my sister were diagnosed with depression and were put on heavy medications. My sister was alot better than me at handling the tragedy, or so I thought, because a couple of months later she committed suicide. After all of that I lost all hope and was thinking of killing myself. Luckily my dad was still there to help me and even though I didn’t really see any point in life, I decided to stay atleast for a couple more months so that my dad wouldn‘t commit suicide. After weeks of doing nothing, I stumbled upon your channel and after watching one of your videos I honestly felt even worse because the relationship you had with your brother was identical to the one i had with my sister. Me being an overprotective dumbass and her just being nice to me despite all the bullshit i was constantly annoying her with (I have no idea if this sentence makes sense). Even though I hated you (because of all the different conflicting emotions simultaneously happening in my brain) I kept watching your videos over and over and over again and slowly started falling in love with the way you guys were just happy (Now looking back I also feel like I might have been subconciously in love with you, weird i know, but hey it is what it is). After I had finished watching all of your videos I felt a burst of energy and decided to do something a little productive, so I did.In about 2 to 3 months I taught myself how to code and bought a french bulldog together with my dad. I was still depressed and didn’t really know what to do with my life, but atleast I felt like I had some sort of purpose. After a month or so I started going out more frequently and got decent at socializing, even though I was still super awkward and couldn’t really do the things I used to love, like playing basketball. Fast forward a couple of months and I was devouring each and every one of your videos. The consequences of such process were 1) higher self esteem 2) not feeling like crap all the time 3)getting back to school 4) adapting to a normal-ish life Another 2 years went by and here I am now. A former Hunter/psychopath on his way to get a job in the gaming industry. Still kinda bruised by all the misfortune, but happy that i got through it all. I don’t believe in any sort of higher power, but I truly believe that if i had discovered your channel sooner, maybe I would be writing this comment right now with my sister by my side. That’s the power your vlogs have had on me Brooke. Thank you for everything and when you are feeling down, just remind yourself that I am here because of you. Sorry for all the gramatical errors, English is my third language. Also, if anything sounds kinda mean, then it isn‘t meant that way, I just don’t feel really comfortable when it comes to writing.
Daniel MLG Švec hello Daniel! I appreciate you taking the time to comment your story. My heart aches for the loss of your mother and sister. I can’t imagine what you went through, but I know it takes a strong person to push through that. I lost my grandmother not too long ago and it felt like I lost a piece of me, but somehow she still lingers wherever I go. I’m glad that the videos were apart of your healing process! I always hope that my videos have a positive impact rather than negative. I’ll be praying for you and your family!!! PS: your English is 10x better than mine

Babysitting my cousins, brothers and sister, and niece and nephew was a handful, usually we just sat around the tv and watched it till my family came home or we'd play outside till the street lights came on. I loved the video Benji will always be a funny little kid!! Bobbaloobs!!
I just started watching your Vlogs, and I freaking freaking love it. And the thing I love most, is the realness, it seems real and looks real, real life of you all.
