On todays vlog, I review the Hoka Speedgoat Hiking boot.
Cons:
Possible heat issues with the Gore Tex
Debris getting trapped in boot
Cost, get them on sale to negate this one!
Pros:
Possible need for Gore Tex feature
Colors actually go with different outfits
Superbly comfortable!

July 2021 update, I still have the boots and I have been using them primarily as work boots for the past 8 months. I still like them and as long as you stay out of deep mud then these are absolutely phenomenal.

I am looking at buying these shoes and saw your review and I have to say the review was excellent and one of the things that kept me interested was that you shot it with a 360 camera. Very cool usage of a 360 cam without making it gimmicky. Again nice review. Thanks for making it and making it fun to watch.

I’m a painter and I also love being active, playing basketball, disc golf and other stuff. I was having some foot and heel problems, so I was looking for something more comfortable to wear while working all day. I love the (Hoka one one Seedgoat 2 mid) so much! I had to get 2 extra pairs. It’s my favorite boot of all time 💯

I am heavy, and can feel the lugs through the soles of most trail/hiking shoes. Speedgoat 4 was the exception. Pure comfort.

Great review. Any opinions on long-term durability? The top build seems a bit frail compared to other brands. Just curious. Thanks!

They have held up surprisingly well. I was not able to test them at the Bataan Death March (it was canceled) but I have made them my everyday work shoes. The top has been fine, the soles on them have some wear but that’s mostly due to wearing them on asphalt and concrete so much. If I had just used them for hiking then I think the soles and lugs would not be as worn. It’s not bad but, it is noticeable. I stand by them after 6 months or so, they have been excellent.
