This video comes along with me through the recovery of my face lift (double jaw surgery)!!! Double jaw surgery corrects an underbite, overbite, etc., and I am so happy that my turn finally came around! This surgery not only improved my ability to bite, but to even breathe and feel like my side profile eats down! Hope you enjoy, and if you're going through jaw surgery I'm sending good energy your way!

What about the metal plates and screws they put in my jaw? Do they stay in place for life?

Yes they do. They hold everything in place!

Hi, I am also in the process of getting myself. Question, did you sunken in cheeks or caved on face before the surgery?

@@Tgetheone3 Hi! I wouldn’t say my face or cheeks were caved or sunken in necessarily, but my face definitely has a rounder shape to it now. Some cases do add implants to your chin or cheeks depending on how extensive your bite is to balance out the “sunken” look I think you’re talking about, but that’s something you’ll go over with your surgeon if you haven’t already. Also insurance was definitely a major help! Good luck on your journey through surgery and recovery!
