You are so together!!! Beautiful job, and so beautiful that you do something for a living that you love and enjoy...it shows in your emotions and in the beautiful work you do!!!
Nice to catch up with your update of all the happenings in the studio Jake. Thanks for this. Re. GFO Vs Aluminium oxide I have heard a it’s lot more favourable to go GFO/ avoid the Aluminium oxide.
Been following the channel for a while now. Awesome to see everything coming together for you jake. I love the hobby. And its cool to see that you are doing all this as your hobby and not just a way to generate income.
For the water level in those tanks... you should mark them with 5gl 10gl will be annoying at first but once you do it will be worth it to know exact amount!!
Awesome Setups Jake! For the Mangroves if you didnt know that, they love some freshwater mist on the leaves. I had a couple myself but after i shut that tank down i gifted them a good buddy.
I love your videos Jake. I had a quick questions...what species of corals can you scrub to rid of algae without compromising the health. My montipora are covered in algae and I just take off what I can without causing too much damage to the polyps. I know my phosphates are high but I'm controlling that. Unfortunately I let it go on too long and then life got in the way and the algae just took over. Again I love how you are maintaining all these different species... definitely a thing of beauty 😊.
Thanks for an overview of yr systems, all looking great. Really enjoying yr videos. Gd luck with the nudis, they are a pita, I’ve been there and managed to eradicate them by daily, regular checking esp night time and scrubbing my montis. These things keep us on our toes lol.
In Singapore, majority of the Reefers uses tap water w dechlorinator such as Prime or Safe for their Reef tanks. I'm just in awe seeing their SPS thrives with just tap! Here in NY, it's totally different.
I've been waiting for a peak at that planted tank for weeks! And to my surprise we have the same exact sailfin mollies 💛 I just had a drop of about 45 to 50 fry in one of my tanks🌿 Did I hear you correct at the beginning with the big tank is going to be planted? I guess I could check? Dah!😂 I have 8 planted tanks and a pond tub with a group of Kohaku Koi Swordtail and all my tanks have fancy swordtail. Thanks looking great!💜💚
Jake you don't get the arms with the red sea lights the bracket's are extra you will be amazed by the growth of these lights I can't believe it fantastic lights oh btw love the channel from your new English friend jay
Good job with the big water system stand, I recently got my water making/mixing station up too in the garage, and have it plumbed through the walls and OMG! Having a hose where the tank is that I can just grab turn a valve and poof saltwater, or freshwater, so great. I will say that I may have to steal your idea of the clear tubing to determine water level though, absolutely brilliant idea... better than just knocking on the side of the container and getting a feel for where about the water is. FYI if you do pump it up you can get remote controlled outlets really cheap, so you can just press a button while you're next to the tank you're servicing with water without having to trudge back and forth. So jealous of all the species specific tanks though, something I would do here except California electricity rates will make me go broke very quickly. :D
One competition idea could be a contest showing off your frag growth over 6 weeks or so. The marine aquarium fanatics Australia page is doing something like this currently
Aluminum oxide tends to work faster but breaks down in a reactor I usually remove it after 4 days to a week so it doesn’t leech back. But as far as silicate reduction goes it should be faster than gfo just like it is with phosphate. GFO is better for long term use ime and aluminum oxide is better for immediate/emergency use.
Thanks for the Studio Update, Everything Looks Amazing 👍🏼 😍 Where can I get those Dispensers ? Those would Make Services Easier for My Team ! Thank You in Advance 🤙🏼 Peace✌🏼
Just a heads up. When your hot water tank goes. Your going to need to get to it. Great video your studio coming along. Awesome, looking forward to more and like to see products reviews.
Hi Jake, great video! For the giveaway I think it would be nice if you have a post or email where people can send you pictured of their reef and the reason they would like to win the pump and choose based on that. Can't wait for the giveaway. Congratulations no the 50K Subscriptions. I love your channel and you always great information to share. Keep up the good work.
Studio looks beautiful. How about a contest where subs video tentative plans or set up for the 400 gallon system. It may give you ideas you haven't thought of for the vectra usage
You should do your contest like billy pipes reefco 8k giveaway. Make people post videos of their reefs to be entered. It's great for bringing the community together! The Studio looks awesome! Keep up the great work!
Where did you get the nifty stands for the hanna checkers? Also for the clothing, please make some big and tall stuff! I'm a 6XLT lmao!😂 the industry discriminates against plus sized reefers haha!
OH PLEASE DO A VIDEO ON HOW YOU TREAT FOR NUDIBRANCH IVE LOST MY GREEN AND STARBURST RED IS LEFT BUT NOT SURE HOW LONG OR WHAT TO DO WHEN ITS ON A BIG ROCK
Another Great video:)! Hey if you want to save yourself some time and money...grab a couple spray bombs of Flex Seal ...two coats on that stand ...better then powder coated!
Have people submit their best reef hack that they preform to keep their tank at its best...and that might help the community at the same time..then pick the best one
@@ReefBuildersVideo I did watch the episode with using a waterpic for removal off nudis, actually doing that in my system as i found its more effective than all the dips i have tried.
Hey just wanted to say love your Channel but wanted to know if you could contact Aquarium or animal attractions in Greeley Colorado and see if you give them pointers on how to actually keep saltwater tanks I was in there on Saturday and their plants and their tanks were overdue for a cleaning by months
Just thought I’d tell you I’m one of the aquatics specialist at Petco and we get our Bangaii Cardinals through quality marine. I have 4 myself and got them super healthy.
