Hello Jerry I hope you read this. My hand’s started really hurting about 15 years ago and I quit playing my music and guitar. After a while a few years I realized how much I had given up. A very caring friend of mine engineered a plan about four years ago to get me back into playing music again. Thank the Lord he did. I quickly got back to speed within a few months and now I’m playing in my church band and with two other groups. Sure my hands cramp up and hurt a lot but I take an occasional Advil and just put up with it. By listening to RU-vid and practice I can play guitar both electric and acoustic better than I ever have and music has brought much joy back into my life DONT EVER QUIT. That’s my best advice. George Adams. RSW 577?Sounds Perfect to Me

HI Jerry, Maybe we should start a "Pickers with sore paws" club, sounds like there would be lots of members. We could nominate Les Paul as a founding member. I have also heard that thin to thick strings intonate different (due to string thichness) and that is why bridges are slanted, you did mention string thickness. Keep Smiling, Adam P.S. you played your best today...

Hi Jerry; I have to say, the frist time I saw an instrument with a compound scale I laughed my ass off. Now I just chuckle. A lot of extra work that as far as I can see does nothing whatsoever to improve the quality of the instrument's sound. I'm sure there are those who will sware that it drasticly improves the sound quality of the instrument. Well that's ok. Their opinion is as good as mine I guess. I still chuckle when I see their instruments. Jerry I do believe that before everyone became millimeter happy, the scale of a violin was a simple 13" or 330 mm. On the 0 fret question, I like it because the 0 fret will give you the same tone as another string played with the same note on a fret. This allows you to play open strings without changing the tone from a freted note.

FYI: The aftermarket, "Zero Fret" nut replacement kits are a pain and Not worth the cost and work. If your instrument was not made with a real zero fret arrangement, don't try to force one into the design. 😁✌🖖

What did they mean when they said Fiddle Faddle 🎻 ???

Jerry, bridge/saddle placement gets a whole lot easier, when using your, bent wire, bridge/saddle placement jig. By comparison, measuring is foolish and Sucks. 😁✌🖖

Can’t tell an appreciable difference with the pop screen off. Mike looks sort of “naked”. I don’t like the look.
