Inabraw or dinengdeng is a term for any vegetable-simmered dish. It is an authentic Ilocano dish and an everyday meal of Filipino folks in northern part of the Philippines.
Agoo La Union, Philippines also has a festivity event called "Dinengdeng Festival"
Main Ingredients:
Fish ( Inihaw na tilapia)
Sibuyas
Bagoong
Vegetables ( Saluyot,alugbati,Talong,Kamote Tops, Malunggay Leaves)
How to Cook:
1. Boil the water in Kaserola or Banga.
2. Put the Sibuyas, Bagoong and Fish.
3. Simmer for 5 minutes to bring out the savory of the fish broth.
4. Put the vegetable in order based on the toughest to softest. Example: Talong, Saluyot, Kamote Tops,Alugbati then Maluggay Leaves
5. Simmer the vegetable then serve.
Tip: Best served while its newly cooked.
