I'm glad you are getting to see how green the midwest/southeast states are, like Tennessee. We get lots of rain and it is lush pretty much all spring, summer, and fall. And snow in winter. Tons of trees. I was surprised this summer on our driving trip out west at how parched everything was. I guess it's all what you're used to.
Oh, yes, we in the East, even the North East where I am in the Catskills, normally have green foliage until snowfall, and much of the green even stays through the winter. Though much of the plants die out with frost, and many trees lose their leaves. There is a lot of water in the East

While you were on your vacation, I took care of an associates' dogs at one of their Bed and Breakfast properties. I definitely got "spoiled" from eating all the amazing food they left for me, and it reminded me about your cruise. I am looking forward to any of the food ideas you might have for yourself and your family. In one of your videos, from your cruise, you mentioned wanting to make more Mexican food. I could see and hear the enthusiasm in your eyes and voice. Btw. Although I am a tea drinker, I've decided to try coffee too. Being a little bit adventurous🤗....
When you said your Hilton stay in Miami was bad I was surprised. My niece is the accountant for a chain of Hilton's in Oregon I have stayed at a few and they were always very nice. My mother was born in Nashville tennessee. I have a lot of family there. It is very green and pretty but also a lot of humidity.😥
If y’all ever want to vacation in Pigeon Forge or Gaitlinburg area let me know. We loved Dollywood. I think Mariah would enjoy this area more. We have resorts in both areas I can gift you your lodging.
I live in a suburb of Phoenix. We have a grid pattern, with a few loops in the freeway system. That was interesting that you noticed it :) Even on today's date, we are still in the triple digits. Something else interesting...the northeastern states became states in the 1700's. Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, etc. Tons of old history from the colonial period. Historic buildings and architecture. That would be a wonderful driving vacation for you! Also, Susan Branch's book, "Martha's Vineyard; Isle of Dreams" is one you would LOVE! All pictures and hand-written! She fled to the island after the break-up of her marriage and was there in the bleak winter when the Saturday Night Live cast came for John Belushi's funeral.
Oh I wished that I knew y’all were in Nashville! I live here in TN and I would have met up with y’all! The Nashville Airport has undergone a lot of construction in the past few years and the Hilton Hotel is brand new. We get a lot of rain here being in the middle of the country which is why everything looks so green and lush… so much here for the kids to do!
I live just north of Nashville. Our biggest industries are hospital & music. We are experiencing overgrowth in construction & population with skyrocketing home prices. Enjoy our green natural beauty while it lasts! Glad you made it home safe. Hello to Bali!
