Installed the locker override and new false floor tonight, easy to install and fits perfect. Thanks for the tip about the loose fitment first 👌🏻 loving the kit and content
I did like my old 35” KM3’s.. in saying that.. the maxxis have been pretty good so far too. We like the look of the stereo. Keen to see it once you are happy with it!
Hopefully you get a good run from the tyres. I had a terrible run with bfgoodies. Cut rip tear and fell apart under 30 thousand kms on a gu Ute alot of dirt roads but always loaded often towing but no hard off road. Went to a set of mickeys mtz hopefully a better run. But that’s only what happened to me with bfs and the dirt road I drive daily. Everyone else may have a good run with them. Like the stereo great set up be interesting to see in the months ahead how you think and feel about it.
Don’t know if you recall our chat at the Perth show about the km3s on my Silverado that I was saying are extremely loud and and you can literally feel every lug hitting the road. After the show I did a beach run and when we let them down I noticed there’s a crack all the way around the bead on all 4 tyres. I’m now in discussions with the dealer for a warranty claim as they’ve been deemed unsafe to drive on. Just keep an eye on them mate, that’s all. I’ve had 5 sets of bfg mud tyres and they’ve been mint until this set…they’ve been absolute junk.
Looks great Dave. The false floor looks so high end as well, would be keen to see how it looks in the back of one that still has the third row seats in as well if you ever have the chance 👌
Yeah i've seen that Victron thing in another video, should work well providing the alternator handles 2 batteries well, but i wonder can you also charge both using solar as well when parked up and how ?
given i have plenty of room under bonnet and charge capacity (105 cruiser with 270amp (200amp idle) alternator SBC (M2K)270XP) would you say from your experience that 2 x DCS 80's would be an ideal under bonnet setup setup? dump the lead acids, i only have camp lights and 56L fridge, i dont use an inverter and have a solar regulator fixed which is a 20A. use vehicle for touring.
Hi Dave, is there any update on the way you hooked up your DCS 80 to the slimline in the rear. Which way do you recommend moving forward? The way you hooked up yours or Steve’s?
Hey mate you said you were thinking the battery set in your car would run the van. Would this just be plugging your van into to your car through the inverter as I have been thinking the same thing but didn’t know how it would go
