I totally agree. Not sure exactly where they were staying because 15 minutes from Midway in which direction. @shanicealisha yall are a hoot but hit your community up. Real Chicagoans don’t really eat Deep Dish Pizza. We like thin crust cut in squares. If yall were West Home Run Inn or Lou Malnati’s, South Italian Fiesta or Beggars and Loop Giordano’s. Lem’s BBQ is still a staple on the south side. Jerk Villa is not new. The one off Cermak is newer than 79th but not new. Summertime “we” are on the Beaches Truth(57th), Reggie’s (63rd), South Shore (71st) Norman’s (77th). We do a lot of rooftop parties. Sorry your experience wasn’t the absolute best, maybe your girl’s family aren’t very familiar with night life and the party scene. Yall did good on the “touristy” stuff tho. Oh and Jerk Villa is in South Loop it’s safe at night. Lol 😂 Chicago is a super segregated city. Basically you are South, over East, out West or Up North. And each has their own divisions of races/nationaliities. Ummm yeah. But never come to Chicago and don’t get Harold’s or Uncle Remus. 6 wings, fried hard, salt n pepper with mild sauce! 😂

Like I said, when we visit again, we’ll be able to fully enjoy our type of vibe. We had a full itinerary for her family reunion, along with a toddler this go-round. I’m so happy y’all finally made it to Chicago. There are some clubs downtown/west loop that has “hip hop” night depending on what day of the week. But south loop is where more of the clubs you was looking for at. Yes Chicago is dangerous but no different than any other city. Can’t wait for you to come back for the ratchet fun!

As we know, what works for one doesn’t necessarily work for another. I’m just sharing two hair solutions that worked for me: 1) From the book “The Science of Black Hair” I learned that when our hair is chronically dry, it can be due us being trained to wash every 2 weeks. So for about 4-6 weeks, wash it about 2 x per week to get the moisture levels up. 2) And I will state upfront this is a greasy solution. I started using Qhemet products to initiate growth and retain length. I had problems with my edges and crown area. From my experience, Qhemet is the truth! Again, I’m sharing what worked for me

Chicago is my favorite city. I've been out in the Chi, and it's always been a vibe. 👌🏾👌🏾 Southside and South Burbs. However, kickbacks were the fav options for everyone. 💪🏾💪🏾 Try Home of the Hoagies. Their subs are fire. 🔥 Midway is way more affordable than Ohare, I tell you that much. 😫 At least from my experience.

Stick to midway airport .. that’s in the city!! O’hare definitely far far sis! It’s definitely a couple of spots for night life that’s lit and I’m going to DM You for future reference!
