VLOG // Cleaning out my closet, whitening my teeth, + SNEAK PEEK of next Fable and ROLE REVEAL! 

I remember finding a ‘man doll’ from a family set when I was cleaning in the dark and scary recesses under the stairs. I felt sad that the set had been sold without him. Soon ‘man doll’ was in our community & local buy& sell Facebook pages looking for his family… climbing a chain mail fence, looking in the letterbox, sitting on a bridge contemplating his lost family ….. people really got invested in man dolls quest to find his family! 😂 It was a lot of fun. He never did find them and then because I’m a sentimental loser, I kept him, because we’d had good times together! He’s now in the spare room ….. which needs a big clean out! 😅

I felt it deep. I just returned from my dentist. I have a trumpet no one will ever play. I got rid of legos a year ago (wish I hadn’t so i could gift them to future grandchildren. I have a vintage Sorry set. I have ancestral violins,and other instruments in closets.. I could go on and on but will stop and simply say “the cat paws in the gap were a joy!” 🐈 oh! Thanks for the sneak peek! Bling!💍 No suggestion from me. I have an Ethan Allen white dresser from ten years ago 🫢

Growing up I always had dreams of playing the leading lady but over the years I’ve realized villains and other character roles are so much more fun! I hope you can share a few snippets with us of yourself on stage. As for your next piece, I’m sure whatever you decide to do will be divine! If the veneer is salvageable and all the solid wood is decent maybe something in a two tone stain with a surprise paper inside! Break a leg up there! On stage that is 😂

Oh. My. Gosh. I think I laughed harder at this than I did at some of Painterly and Biffs stories! Every bit of that closet clean-out is spot on for what happens in our house! The goofiness, the stories, the inanimate objects talking, the "where'm I gonna put this?", the "what the...?" Thank you for the laughs and another insight into your delightful personality. And thank you for the update on your stage role. Not familiar with that version, but it sounds like fun! As to "the wooden bride": you know you want to strip it... search your heart- you know it to be true. LOL I think a multi-tonal wood look would be cool, with maybe a contrasting solid color, or faux-finish (or something else creative) on the top. You could use Re-tique it if necessary. 🤷🏼‍♀️ In any case- you're awesome. Thanks again for sharing you time, talent, and humor with us. ...Oh no! Killer chicken! 🐓🤖💀 😂😂

I was having a bit of a melancholy day but this video just made me laugh and helped me rise above all the disappointments of my day. Strip the body, change out the hardware, Steam and re-glue the veneer, wall paper the doors, Stencil the inside bottom of the drawers and door areas Paint the top in a dark color, If you found or have some dark paper, a color to match for the top, Chocolate, black, dark brick red (depending on the wood tone or stain. I love your closet clean out.

This was fun - and one of the few times in my life that I’ve enjoyed watching someone clean! 😁 When you said the sideboard reminded you of a blinged-out bride, my mind went to her being jilted and deciding to makeover her entire image, you know, make him see what he’d be missing? But then again, my mind comes up with all sorts of crazy things! I can’t wait to see what your mind comes up with! Oh - and congratulations again! I’m betting that you’ll be awesome! 😊

Always need more cats! I limit myself to 4. Would like to see a photo of you in your villain costume and makeup. As for the table, at least the legs and edges wood, I am concerned about what shape the veneer is in, and painting is an option. Maybe you could make eyes for the chicken and cat with the pulls.

Isn't it satisfying to have the closet cleaned out and organized? Do you go back and open the closet door and just enjoy how nice it looks? (That's what I do 😂). Yay, thanks for the update on your audition...was wondering about it! Keep us posted on when and where! This is a kind of crazy idea for the white piece but you could cut up a large mural of maybe a forest scene or fairy tale and do different panels on each side and drawers and do a complimentary color or subtle stencil on the top...maybe red riding hood and a cool dark forest on the top. Or a Beatrix Potter mural with pastel muted lake scene on the top. And yes, I remember going to the Z gallery Santana Row in the early 2000's and seeing all the blinged out furniture they called "old Hollywood" with white, gold and mirrored surfaces.

Last year I cleaned and organized both of my clothing walk-in closets. One of them had a pile on the floor 3 ft. deep I kid you not. It feels SO good now to open those doors and see organization, not chaos. Oh, no more cats. haha

I would either do a painted look with decoupage on the door fronts or a two toned with paint on body and wood drawer fronts and top ..you can make a slice with razor on lifted veneer and iron and steam method to reactivate glue to flatten and hand sand ...I'm doing my closets too😂❤

OMG- as a fellow thespian, huge congratulations on earning the role of "Ms. Andrew" in MP 🥂🥰! As much as I loved (& related to) this video, I absolutely CANNOT WAIT to see how you interpret the sideboard. I have been quite taken with the Pantone color of the year "Peach Fuzz" as an accent; especially when paired with a beautiful navy blue. Maybe this combination is expected but it truly is a gorgeous pairing regardless of which color is the dominant 🤷🏼‍♀️! (You will be a wonderful Ms. Andrew and for once, I truly wish that I didn’t live on the opposite side of the country so that I may attend your opening night & cheer you on 😂)!

Such a delightful vlog, Andy. You're so funny! I loved all the moments, and yes, I can definitely relate to the clutter of many years accumulating in a forgotten closet. I've been slowly trying to declutter corners of my house too, but somehow it's much more fun watching you. And I'm so thrilled for your villain part in Mary Poppins! I have to admit, I did a little sleuthing when you first got the part and did find something about the show coming up in the spring, with the cast listed as: "to be announced". And I wondered if that was the one you were auditioning for. Anyway, congrats again and can't wait for future updates.

I too have an ancesteral violin... and a place under the stares where things go to never be heard from again. If it were my bridezilla buffet I would probably be turning it into a vanity. I would strip it and see what the wood looks like, I would either stain the frame and paint the drawers or the other way around.

Good job on the closet. I think it would be worth stripping the paint off and seeing the condition of the wood. It would be nice to give it a fresh coat of paint, if the wood is terrible, and update the knobs. It has a lot of potential.

As to the next fable piece... It might be nice to see a subtle wallpaper design on the face of the door panels. A subtle chicken theme perhaps. HaHa .. Really, any quiet, elegant design wallpaper would be a pretty statement. .... Love the menacing chicken peeking out from the closet at the end. LOL

With the sideboard I would make the put on a new dark top or make it dark wood looking and take the bling off and put a different type of pool on it but leave the bottom part white.

But I would if I could. On another note, why do I feel like that closet was all "props"?🤣 It just gave me theater props vibes. Terminator chicken! HAHA!! I love that beautiful cabinet. When you said bride it immediately made me think of Father of the Bride with Steve Martin/Diane Keaton. Maybe you could pattern it after one of the outfits she wears after her wedding, or even from the second movie. Married, but not matronly. 😁 No matter what you do, it's gonna be amazing as usual. What a fun closet clean out! I’m tackling my linen closet tomorrow…😬 When I saw the Pruneridge golf course hat, I felt homesick! I grew up in Santa Clara and Campbell and miss those growing up years. When I’ve seen you washing your furniture outside, I thought you must live in Saratoga or Los Gatos. So lovely. I wonder if you could embellish the buffet with some IOD transfers over a pretty paint color? It’s a great piece of furniture.

After you strip or sand see what you have, then the inspiration with come.. As for hardware, I could only see the knob type with a ring. No idea why. Just have fun with it. I always can't wait to see what comes in the end.

I'm surprised Drea didn't show up to offer her "sage" advice on closet organization. That piece is lovely, the bones anyway. I am ordinarily a died in the wool restore it to it's former glory wood gal, especially if its antique. Only you know if it's worthy of the effort. I've been watching the new IOD release videos, so my first thought is floral and romantic. That would be perfect in my eclectic, fantasy cottage ... the one I'll never have.
