The thought of you planning on being more open and transparent about real life concerns of an almost 30 year old is so refreshing. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the financial side of things, because, as a 30 year old, I’m STILL trying to figure it out. My family and I went through a really, really tough time from about when Covid started to around this time last year. I went from running a very successful photography business that made almost 6 figures a year to making absolutely nothing when Covid started. I wasn’t smart about my saving when I was making that money, and it really, really messed us over…our marriage, family, our house, everything. But, today, even though my husband and I aren’t making as much as we were, I somehow feel like we’re in a better place. I’m not sure if it’s because I picked up tricks when we were poor that have stuck with me, but I feel so much better that we changed our ways and worked our asses off to get where we are now!! As always, love you Lindsey, and can’t wait for more of your vlogs. Please remember to take care of yourself this Vlogmas! None of us will be mad if you need a day or two off! 🤍

as someone who also feels stressed about finances, especially this time of year, i'd love to hear about a couple tangible, proactive things you do to make yourself feel like you're working towards a better place. i feel like small habits/mindful choices with money can add up to make a difference, but aren't things that i personally track or give myself for credit for.

I grew up with a fake tree but now that I'm married we've gotten a real one every year. We cut a round from the trunk every year, sand and seal it, then make it into an ornament with the year and address we loved at that year. It's my favorite tradition we've started for our kids ❤

i grew up in a real tree family, we’d get one every year. it was a special & nice tradition to pick it out as a family, put it up, string the lights, decorate etc! but honestly i remember needles dropping like crazy and as im now on my own, i would not wanna keep up with the clean up and having to feed / water it also. i already have enough house plants 😂 ive had a pre-lit fake tree now myself for around 6 years and honestly the convenience of it outweighs the positives of a real tree for me! & it’s still so beautiful, i love it. plus real trees can be soo expensive. i still make my home smell like balsam & pine with candles, because that’s the only part i would really miss from a real tree, other than picking it out at a tree farm which i do miss the vibes of🌲🎄 but i feel like it’s better too to not support cutting so many trees down 🥺 love my fake tree!

I am the opposite - grew up with a fake tree and always felt like i was missing out on a real tree 🎄my bf and i bought our first home this year, so this is my first year getting a real tree! while it was expensive, it was such a special experience for me to go to a tree farm for the first time to pick out the perfect one 😊i'm not sure I can ever go back to a fake tree although I can't say much yet about the clean up 🤣 can't wait for VLOGMAS!!!!✨

Girl I'm in such a similar position, this year has been rough! I'm a freelancer and my business pretty much tanked this year, so I had to pick up a nannying gig to make up for it. Also, I don’t know if it’s a conflict of interest with your other job but maybe do some organizing videos? Or clean with me/declutters are always fun to watch. Hello Lindsey! A question that I have is how do you handle being so far away from family and friends? I have always wanted to move to a new state and just start fresh in a new area, but I am just absolutely terrified to do so + hate being so far from my family and friends in my hometown. I feel like I would get homesick.

Your videos always motivate me and make me feel good! I appreciate you being honest about things going on. We know you’re doing the best you can! ❤❤❤ it’s all about balance, right?! But when it gets tippy it’s so fricken hard. Hang in there!!! I grew up and still live in Vermont and we were lucky enough to go in our back yard and cut down a Xmas tree. Never had a fake one till last year, so it took 37 years 😂 real trees are SO expensive!!! I will admit it’s more convenient but a fake one just isn’t the same!!!

I always grew up with fake trees so I finally started doing a real tree with my husband when we moved to NY…. I am now back to a fake tree LOL I was cleaning up pine needles for months and couldn’t take it another year

my brother was also allergic to christmas trees 😂😂 when he was a baby he crawled around it and had an allergic reaction to whatever they spray it w so we always had a fake one too

if this is something youre dealing with can you talk about the stress of thinking about/saving for buying a house vs renting?? its stressing me out that i feel like i have to have this figured out soon since im almost 30, but its like i cant afford to buy but i know renting is not doing anything for me long term :/
