Your channel has been my favourite choice of viewing since I discovered you ( 10 x years ago) . Coming into a very stressful week with my mom having surgery Wednesday, so this vlog has made my day. Always a breathe of fresh air from the hustle of day to day life. I had to chuckle with the reflections about minimalism. Our house is a complete mess of 70s,80s,90s “decor” & stuff but it’s our home. Who can say to another how to live our lives? We have one life. Why not spend time living and enjoying each moment in the way that we want without judging others? I love your videos because I love your outlook to life.

There are certain moments and times in your life, home, clothing, etc. you can explore the art of minimalism. You dont’t have to be an all rounder complete minimalist. We are all diffrent and can experement at times to learn more of ourself, which in turn helps guides you to evolve and see yourself. Nothing is set in stone have fun and explore yourselves. but you know yourself which is amazing to see.

I am checking out your kitchen, why haven’t you got an Arger cooker and oven ? It would look bloody lovely where your hob is, just move the hob so you have got both. Keep your fan assisted oven. Dear Lydia, I have been a follower of your channel quite awhile now, and have enjoyed watching a glimpse into your lives. The reason I was compelled to comment is …. Although I thought your intro was beautiful! 😍 My favourite part of the video is at the end!!! You were just buzzing from the whole experience. I always say I'm 'minimalistic', which is a bit different to being an actual minimalist. I like the idea of reducing what I have and being more mindful of what I consume, but human beings are similar to fish - they will expand as far as the area they're living in allows.

Hi Lydia! What would your top tip be for creating interiors like yours if you only have the ability to control your personal space (bedroom) and limited control of the communal spaces? Oh Lydia what a charming intro to the video It encapsulates you and Mr Gordon’s vibes. About minimalism There are people moving away from the extreme minimalism and we do not need to be living on the extreme. I believe there are two ends of the extremes and most of us fall somewhere in the spectrum. Do search on warm minimalism and cozy minimalism I have a feeling you will relate and resonate to some of them.

I know it’s a lot of planning and prep but your vlogmas content is so special. Thank you for bringing Christmas sparkle into our home. We only put the tree up and start watching Christmas movies after my daughter’s birthday. In South Africa we have planned daily load-shedding (no electricity) at least 4 hours a day so your energy is a very welcomed distraction.

Your vignette over the fireplace looks beautiful but how are you going to keep the plants alive if you want to light the fire? They won't survive with the heat from the fire so close. Lydia, I so love watching your Christmas intro - I wish you were uploading more frequently, so I had an excuse to view it more.😂 This years festive installation is absolutely stunning, and what a clever idea to have a living garland above your fireplace. You have a large home with large rooms, yet it looks so cosy! 😍🥰 I made my own wreaths, fireplace and stair garlands a couple of years ago, and after Christmas they are packed away very carefully with the decorations still on them so it saves me time the following year! 😅 Please ignore the people who nitpic over your comments. Lydia, I’m very much like you. I just haven’t got it in me to be a minimalist. I also like things to be aesthetically pleasing. If something is in an ugly container I decant it into something else. I’ve been like that all my life. Having said that I think we are all a bit more mindful of our homes and surroundings. Great vlog. Love the little tutorial at the beginning. Hi Lydia! I would try and get some small red berries on a stalks and combine a few with your Ivy feature in the kitchen for Christmas! You can remove them and keep for next year! Beautiful home you both have great taste!A mini Christmas tree on the island tiny one with some berries and snow! 🥰

Your home looks so amazing and I love your Christmas decor. The tartan looks like Balmoral Heather it is worth googling it to see if the shade is the same.
