Jeri…I admit my stomach dropped when I saw “hospice” in your title, but I am so relieved that you’re getting their help for wound care, etc.! My MIL was out on hospice and 2 years later they said she was doing so well, they didn’t need to visit anymore! It’s such a relief that you & Jim are getting the help you desperately need! Prayers ARE being answered! I love you!💞

The Lord is doing a mighty work to heal your wounds . I worked hospice for years. I have seen folks recover from their illness. I'm so happy you and Jim are receiving help. We serve an awesome God who don't just hear our prayers but who has the ability to answer them. There is nothing to big for our God to take care of. Sometimes our wants don't line up with what God wants for us, but often God has a greater plan for our life than we had originally planned for ourselves. We all have a divine purpose and I think that God is using your illness to inspire so many others who have come to know you through your channel here on youtube. I have dealt with this as so many others have either themselves or with someone in their family. You stay positive and do what's best for you guys and keep inspiring all your many friends here on this channel,I believe God is using your life for Good. My Dad is on hospice. Doesn't mean you are going anywhere. They will be a big help. My Dad broke his hip and back in Oct. 2012. He is 80. We have been taking care of him since December. You need help right now. Hospice doesn't mean you are on your last days, but a lot of people think that's what it means. Continued prayers Jeri.

Hello Jeri Ann, I haven’t seen you for a long time, I have missed seeing you.I was in Hospice one year.I only got pain meds I am a HOSPICE SURVIVER,! I finnaly got you’re channel.I am surprised to hear all the bad stuff. I am sorry to hear this .I will keep you in my prayers God Bless you if I can survive hospice so can you.I had to beg my family to let me go the pain was so bad so they said ok,yet here I am. Miracles do happen!

If you guys remember I suggested a month or so ago about looking into hospice care and that it did not mean your dying and that they would be of great care and help for you guys. You can go in and off as need be because Ii went through it several times with my parents. Hospice was the most amazing thing because it gave me extra years to have my parents around. They also were in a Nh and they would come there to give extra help. Great at addressing wound care and all of that. And they supported our family emotionally as well. I am SO HAPPY that they are you involved in your case. Jimmy has been such a support for you and now he will be supported as well ( not that you didnt support your hubby because you did) and it will lift a huge weight off his shoulders. You kind of remind me of my mom and dad in the sense that you take your marriage vows seriously and you guys are a support for each other in Sickness and in health. They were in it together through good times and bad. That is what marriage is all about. I commend you both so much. Hospice doesn't mean end of life in many cases. Cancer is a chronic illness and that is what Hospice is about to help you get through the ups and down of having this. I HATE CANCER because I have lost loved ones to this horrible disease my MIL died from breast cancer and Hospice was there for her as well even though in the end she still lost her life. But I know others who have survived it and I believe that you will too. Your positive attitude will carry you through no matter what. They will help you with showers and things and that really helped my mom. She had a weight issue due to her many illnesses and so the showers were so amazing and she looked forward to getting help with that aspect of her care. I hope this takes a load off you both and don't let anyone say anything negative about Hospice. They will help you both not only with the physical aspect but the emotional parts as well. Love you guys and you will get through it TOGETHER. Jimmy don't ever feel bad about yourself or think that you didn't do enough to help your wife and it does not mean you are giving up with caring for Jeri Ann you just now have extra help and you have an outlet to be able to take breaks when you are feeling overwhelmed. Caregivers need help as well and now you can take some time just for yourself and knowing Hospice is there to help you but not replace you as your wife's caregiver. If we as caregivers don't take time for ourselves and take care of our health we can't help our loved ones. Sorry for the long post I just have so much experience with Hospice for 5 years of my parents life and I treasured that. They have both since past just due to their severe health issues but I as a daughter was so very grateful for what Hospice did fir them and for me. Love you guys you got this TOGETHER.

When my grandma went on hospice they told us that hospice doesn’t mean the end. You can be on hospice for years and years. And you can always come off when you are better. It’s extra help. For you. I’m happy you now have Hospice as I thought you were in need of their services a long time ago…They are a fantastic organization…My Mother was in Hospice care for about a year and a half and they not only helped her, but, they were a life saver for me as well…I am still good friends with my Mother’s nurse, in fact, she called me today…It has been a lasting relationship since 2005…You will receive excellent care and many other benefits that will make daily life much easier for you and Jim…I pray you continue to feel better everyday and that your spirits and your encouragement for others will continue to enrich our lives…God bless and have a good rest of the week…A Florida friend♥️✝️🙏🌸🐝💛🌷💗🐰🌿

I’m a breast cancer survivor. your positive attitude is the best medicine. I agree with your thinking about “getting right with yourself” and “getting right with God”. Advanced directives are really important, and a gift of love to your loved ones, so they don’t have to guess at what your wishes are. You may not need those directives for another 30 years, but get the form from your hospital, fill them out, and then file the with the hospital. a directive might be that if you are incapacitated, you would like someone to rub lotion on your feet, etc. It’s not just about a DNR order. Hang in there.

I've been thinking of you lately. Praise God that you got an empathetic nurse. You're right about how none of us is guaranteed a tomorrow and how a person's funeral isn't for the person who is in Heaven - it's for the people left behind. If you can track your urine output it might help you to know if you are peeing out more than you're taking in. That can be a hard balance to keep when you feel bad. Its better to decide these things right now while you have a clear mind and idea of what YOU want. Its a persons own personal thing about what they want in death. When my morher died, and she was end stage scleroderma for 4 years but still went to bed and we had no reason to think she wouldnt wake up and she didnt, my dad had no clue what she wanted. He was her husband for 35 plus years and they never discussed it. So even if you have Nothing in writting legal stuff just tell jim what you want. Hugs
