You're too kind 😂 I'm always so self-conscious about phone vlogs because it just feels like I'm handcuffed to a style of filming that doesn't play well with our usual format. Fortunately, Meow Wolf would still look incredible even if our primary camera was a potato. This installation blew Vegas out of the water for us, and I know you and Sam would LOVE it! Five whole floors worth of otherworldly magic 😍 Can't wait to get your take on it when you do make it there one day!
We are _obsessed_ with the Meow Wolf exhibitions! It is our dream and our intent to visit each of them all over the country, eventually...it was exciting to have been able to stop by the Denver location while I had a few hours to myself. Next time, though, Katie's coming with me! 😁
Ooooh this looks like it will be amazing! I can see how you would be able to spend an entire day here, there was so much to see. Boop-o-clock is now a thing! Haha I lost count of the number of geek references I accidentally dropped into this video 😂 I had only intended to spend a few hours at Meow Wolf, but every time I was getting ready to pack it in, I found a new hallway or a new exhibit...sometimes an entirely new floor! These installations are some of the most amazing and immersive in the country and I was so excited to have been able to stop by...hopefully next time, Katie can come with! Always exciting to not know what to expect on an adventure haha! What a fascinating immersive experience. I would spend way too much time in the Perplexiplex lol, I love those projections surrounding you! And the music is so soothing. The catacombs is so cool. So pretty. Love the glowing gems. "Why won't you boop!" haha. The carnival nightmare is so vibrant lol but a little creepy hahahaha (but maybe not as scary as some of your other experiences LOL) at least until I saw that spinning sausage hahaha definitely an acid trip LOL. Mmm mac and cheese. Numina is so pretty! Now I need to check out Rainforest cafe lol I've walked in there but that's about it. Another fantastic video and experience!
I have a tendency to oversell the Rainforest Cafe 😂 But I am a sucker for wholly immersive environments, no matter how cheesy! Feeling like you're eating lunch in the middle of a rainforest thunderstorm without _actually_ being in the middle of rainforest thunderstorm is a top tier experience in my book haha Numina hit all the right notes of weird and wonderful, I could have literally spent all day just leaning over the balcony taking all of the sights and sounds in. The only thing that would have made it better would have been an _actual_ water feature somewhere in there. The carnival area was too much like a fever dream for my liking, though; best to get my mac and cheese fix and roll on out. 😜 Haha thanks so much for watching, Meg!
Meow wolf looks awesome! A friend of mine went to the Denver one as well and I loved living vicariously through him while he told me about it, so getting to see the full vlog in classic Tim and KT fashion (not so Katie this time I guess lol) was incredible. Your coverage and edits are always so well done and really showcase the full experience and all of the most important details. We travel to Colorado quite a bit too and I have a lot of family out there, so we’ll have to check out Meow Wolf next time. And of course a return to the newly reopened Casa Bonita. Also - hearing $15 parking sounded expensive… cries in Chicago 😂 it’s like $20 anywhere in the city to even street park for an hour. Amazing video as always. Thanks so much for sharing!
It was an otherworldly experience, to be sure! Our goal is to one day make it to all four (soon to be five) Meow Wolf installations around the country; but it’ll be awhile before we get around to every location, I’m sure. Glad you enjoyed the video, especially because we never feel like we’re putting our best foot forward when we’re stuck using one camera with significant limitations (Ex. iPhone) over the full kit that we normally bring to theme parks and haunts. We’re slowly trying to improve our shooting and editing capacity so that we can use whatever and still pull together a decent vlog. Well... it's different. When I consider art throughout the ages and consider this particular art... I kind of feel sorry for this latest generation--art being an expression of the times. Yikes.
But remember that art is, was and forever will be subjective 😊 There's beauty and expression in neon and soundscapes in the same way that there is beauty and expression in Starry Night or the Mona Lisa. Not everyone vibes with every piece or style of art, and that's totally okay.
