What land wsd this in? I went there during april and i honestlj had no ides ir existed. I thought i rode everythint there, but i guess not lmao. I went dueinf april vacation, is rhat ride still there? I dont even recall seeing it by apollos Charriot when i ride. 2:45
It's still there, tucked away past Tempesto and the Trade Wind rides in the Festa Italia area! Definitely one of the hardest rides to find organically, we had to look at the map to find it on reopening day last year! 😉
When it comes to rapids rides, we _are_ quite wimpy. 😂 But it mostly comes down to not wanting to walk around all day in wet clothes haha someone _always_ gets soaked on a proper rapids, I’d hate to be the one with all the bad luck and not have been prepared! 😜
Yeeeesssss Toverland is genuinely on the same level as a Disney park in our minds, albeit a little smaller in terms of the overall footprint. Fēnix, though, is a world-class ride on its own and well worth traveling to experience! One of our favorite coasters for sure! ✨
That means you're pretty close to one of our favorite haunts in the state! 😁 We pulled off there to shoot our intro when we were getting close to Legends of the Fog!
There's another waterpark in Virginia called Ocean Breeze. If y'all are ever in Virginia Beach i would check that one out too! It's a smaller waterpark and not too overwhelming!
We'll definitely have to check it out! VA Beach is a bit of a hike for us at 5 hours south from our home base, but only an hour further south than Williamsburg is....so there's really no reason we couldn't do a double header someday! Thanks for watching and for the recommendation! 😎
Does the money from the multipasses flow straight back into the park for further improvements and future expansions or does it mainly improve and expand the pockets of shareholders / ceo's? More rides mean shorter queues overall, but the system could also easily be tweaked for maximizing profit instead of maximizing customer experience. Short term vs long term vision.
A very fair question - and critique! In general, the problem with US parks and resorts is that the customer experience has gradually diminished in favor of expanded profit margins. This isn't a problem limited to Disney, but it's more noticeable at Disney because things that used to be free are now being monetized and the guests are being directly impacted. We and many other regular attendees continue to go because of nostalgia and because, quite frankly, the US is short on themed parks with captivating and imaginative stories to tell. However, we infinitely prefer the guest experience at places like Efteling, where a more careful balance has been struck between profit and guest satisfaction.
@@timandkt I have to say that the term 'virtual queue' had me baffled for a moment... Hopefully the pendulum will swing the other way soon. On a totally unrelated, Dutch topic: the Euro 2024 football tournament is taking place right now in Germany. If you want to see how the Dutch supporters of our national team are taking over the German cities where they have to play search for 'euro 2024 dutch fans'. We made it to the quarter finals and play against Turkiye this Saturday.
We definitely miss the days of fastpass being a complimentary service, but we're glad to see Genie+ being replaced by a system that allows us to book in advance again - as the old fastpass system once did!
Haha, well, this particular ride POV is from a park in the Netherlands, so you're probably less likely to see us there 😂 But local parks like Hershey and Busch Gardens, we are there pretty regularly!
Lots of airtime on those bunny hills, definitely an attraction for all ages - but the theming really makes this one worth the ride, imo! 😍 Even the back of the rear car has a little vanity plate that says ‘SCRAM’! Haha!
I definitely think you could handle this one, Meg! 😂 It may not be the fastest or the tallest, but it’s got enough kick to be fun for the older crowd, too haha
Pretty stark differences between the two, as it turns out - and we’ve been lucky enough to have ridden both iterations! In many ways, this is our first instance of truly “lived” theme park history 😁 Thanks for watching, you two!
What a neat place! You always find the coolest things. All the colors! The living ball pit is crazy 😂 Mission Control? You’re about to take off! “Really touch it! Smack it around!” 😂 Ohhh that is a big Venus fly trap! Creepy hahaha! I really agree it looks like you could be there for hours. The renaissance funeral is so creepy for sure but I love it hahahaa! What a contrast to the other vibrant rooms. Neat there’s a gift shop with lots of fun merch too! That is a cute bucket hat haha! Very cool to be able to go back there and solve some more puzzles. Awesome tour and looks like you had a blast! 🎉
We’ve been lucky stumbling across some really neat attractions over the past couple of years 😁 It’s been a renaissance of roadside weirdness! Otherworld is all kinds of trippy in all the best ways. Apart from the terrifying funeral room, every room is fun and interactive and vibrant and could easily hold your attention for hours haha it’s a really neat way to spend a day in the Philly area - and weather-resistant, too! 😍 Thanks so much for watching, you guys!
might go the 2nd week of July.. is it a good idea to take my 13 year old with us?? hes not "sheltered", plays gta online but i dont allow him to watch or play anything x rated... as far as horror, i think hes ok... thank you
The show is definitely geared towards 17+, and the burlesque and comedy acts are definitely a little more 'adult' and risqué. Certainly nothing X-Rated, but well within the 'R' rating range...skimpy outfits, suggestive dancing, sexual humor and the like. I'm sure that you will have a wonderful time, but as far as bringing the teenager along, it's up to you what you think you are comfortable with as parents! 😉
This is SO cool to see them side by side! Why do the loops on the 2024 version look noticeably rougher now though 😂 I’m so glad they gave it some love and preserved it though. The lighting effects in the tunnel are definitely a nice addition and the ride seems to be running pretty well overall! Interesting that the first lift hill on the updated version seems to be quite a bit slower too. They seem SO similar, but at the same time distinctly different. Really fun to see and great POVs as always! 🙌 Thanks for sharing
I had the same thought! It wasn't until we put them side by side that we noticed how much slower the lift hill was. We're thinking that this is due to the new on-board audio that plays on your way up the hill; you're given an extra few seconds on the hill so that you're able to absorb the whole narrative they've written. 😉 Overall, the theming is definitely an improvement! Our train felt a little rougher on those interlocking loops, but that could yet be a train issue and not a track issue. Only a re-ride can decide! haha thanks for watching!
@@timandkt I TOTALLY FORGOT to mention the on board audio in my first comment, but that was my other major takeaway and one of the coolest parts. I love a good queue/ride audio - it really makes a good coaster GREAT! Adventure express at kings island, big bear mountain at Dollywood - the on board audio makes those ride experiences so good, and it seems the same for Loch Ness Monster now. Demon at our six flags also has the greatest queue music and theme song and audio ever and it makes me happy that it still exists, and even better that they’ve now brought cool audio to and preserved another classic Arrow coaster.
Ooooh VIP Sounds amazing, so looking forward to seeing the perks. The goodie bags look like they have a good amount of items in there and the bag itself is great too. :D :D Katie picked Ryan Reynolds!!!! :D :D The Dark side of the force is more fun! ^_^ its such a shame when guests drop out but also amazing when you still get to meet them too. Yaaaay a Loungefly wall! The best sort of wall! No way you won a golden ticket thats so good. Really like that as VIP you can get to the front of the line, thats a great idea. Like Genie+ at Disney, just walk right past the queue, LOVe he did the voices for you too thats so special. I keep saying flavour instead of scent too! Defo do not eat bath fizzers! Love Katie's makeup look, I enjoy seeing how they do it too, so detailed. Love love love seeing all thr cosplay, so much effort is put into them and I am here for it! Thats such a good tip about taking a reference photo for the celebs too. Honestly, I feel like if you say lots of celebs VIP is 100% worth it to skip the queue to then be free to enjoy the event. Loved this vlog thanks so much for taking us with you!!
Haha, I know you know all about the atmosphere of a good convention, Hannah! VIP really did save us a ton of time getting in and out of lines. Some celebrities like Chloe Bennett had their lines cut due to overcrowding and scheduling conflicts (panels, photo ops, etc.) and we wouldn't have been able to meet them at all if not for that VIP escort! ✨ It was an expensive way to explore a convention, to be sure, but it was cool to be 'high rollers' for this particular event. Of course, Katie could have gotten her Furiosa makeover with or without the VIP badge - and that was easily the best part of our whole convention experience 😁 Thanks so much for watching! I don't know how we missed this comment, but we are so sorry that we left you hanging out in the void! 😅
Halloween all year round!! Their makeup and clothing look is always so so good! Everything looks terrifyin - which is good haha LOVE the Bad Witch Vibes cup! did you get any goodies?! I really like the hoodie too, amazing design. Thank you for takins us along even though it scared the heck out of me!
Haha, we know how much you love the scary stuff, so we thought we'd bring a little more of it to your doorstep! 😜 We love being able to experience some of our favorite types of events and experiences during the spring and the summer, and Laurel's House of Horror really blew our minds with the surge in production value. Their merch is always top notch, too! We definitely came away with a few things from the shop, including the Bad Witch Vibes cup 😁 Thanks so much for watching!
Love all the theming they gave this ride and the queue! It looks like a rather unassuming woodie, but wow - it kinda looks like it rips 🔥 I could almost feel the airtime on those little humps through the POV. Awesome video as always 🙌
Front row ride definitely set the bar for the attraction, but the back row really does throw you around on those airtime pops! Future POV coming with back row, as well. 😉
There’s a healthy mix of both! We wore nice shirts and fancy dress the first time we attended and t-shirts and ripped jeans the second time we attended and we never felt out of place. 😁 You two are going to have so much fun! Perfect choice for a date night!
I feel like only you and Katie can make Star Wars Haunted themed! Looking forward to seeing this! SITH FOR THE WIN!! Come to the dark side, we have cookies 🍪 haha The new underpants, reminds me of Tormund in Game of Thrones "which one of you cowards popped my pants" (PG version!!) You know its good when the jump scares scare me too! How do you not swear with some of these jump scares?!! Did it convince you to turn to the dark side? Another amazing video thanks so much Tim
Haha, it was an interesting gambit on the part of the haunt! Star Wars fans make up a pretty dedicated base, and the fact that their event fell on international Star Wars day made for a coincidence too perfect to ignore 😁 Thankfully the Dark Side did issue me the "standard uniform" complete with new underwear! Between that and the cookies, easy choice! Thanks so much for watching, Hannah!
Ooooh I already know this will be an amazing video! Free goodie bags! Always fun to get yummy snacks! I love how the snacks are scary too, yummt, but still scary. Love the bear - Buy meeeeeeee!! Absolutely LOVE everyones outfits, you can just see how much time and effort they put into them. The hot challenge looked brutal! Boop the snoot! Thank you for taking us along, this was amazing!
We've done a lot of conventions, but rarely if ever have we done a trade show much less a trade show built around haunted attractions and makeup 😍 They really went the extra mile to make this inaugural event one that the East Coast will remember! I know you are not always a big fan of the spooky stuff, Hannah, but I think you might enjoy this event well enough given all of the unique photo ops, set designs, costumes and games - it was effectively Halloween: the Comic Con! 🎃 Thanks so much for watching!
Not gonna lie, (you know me by now) I am kinda terrifed so will have to look away at parts!! :D The show looked SO GOOD, how on earth was she pulled up by her hair?! WOW Also I LOVE Katie's makeup too! The big spinning wheel.... how on earth did he stay in that!? Holy moly! Thanks so much for taking us along!
Haha, the great thing about Paranormal Cirque is that while it's definitely a bit spookier than most traveling circuses, it's captivating and awe-inspiring for non-spooky reasons too! We've now seen this show several times and have gotten to know some of the performers in the troupe, and I swear they are some of the most talented people in the world. We kept some of the craziest acts out of the highlight video so that they'd be a surprise to anyone who went, and all I can say is that the spinning wheel makes for a pretty pulse-pounding finale! 🤩 Thanks so much for watching, Hannah!
So sorry I am so far behind! I LOVE the room and tour but.. THE VIEW! So beautiful. The hanging chair in the lobby too looked so much fun! I really want to visit Colorado as my bestie is there, this makes me wana visit even more. Loving the look of the pool and fitness centre too! The food you get always looks so so good! Ahhh real smores over a real fire! Although the wind made it seem a little tricky! Thanks so much for this amazing vlog Tim!
Aw, that's OK! There's never any hurry to check out our content, we're just thankful that we have so many wonderful people that enjoy watching whenever they can. 😊 This was such a great stay and the view was absolutely incredible. It definitely won't be our last visit to the area, either - coincidentally, Katie's bestie lives in Colorado as well! Many more things to see and do on the next visit haha thanks for watching, Hannah!
You should definitely go! They are always changing, updating and enhancing the show to keep it fresh and fun, but there are some staples that are consistent for every performance. We could go a hundred times and never get tired of it! 😁 Glad we were able to give you that little peek behind the curtain!
@timandkt it definitely sounds like fun. I can't wait for next year. I couldn't go because of a lack of funds, but definitely, I will definitely go next year
Congrats on the 2k+ subs! It's well deserved imo. Do you remember the spinning ships from 'World of Sinbad' in Efteling? (across from Vogelrok) They have had a cultural overhaul of the third kind, since they used to be spinning cooking pots from 'Monsieur Cannibale' (Mister Cannibal) who himself stood in the middle of the spinning circle. After several complaints they changed the ride (and some figurines in the neighbouring Carnaval Festival).
That truly means the world to us - thank you so much! We definitely remember Sirocco, if that's what you're referring to 😍 one of a few things that we didn't get a chance to ride while we were there, but we loved the soundtrack and the water jets! Sounds like that was a definitely an upgrade haha
@@timandkt Yes. Sirocco. (A wind that brings hot air and sometimes sand from the Sahara desert over to Europe. When it rains down you can find a thin layer of it on your car and stuff.) The ride actually spins deceivingly fast. Don't wear smooth pants...
We did Big Daddy Falls, but due to a couple of factors our footage turned out really badly so we weren't able to include it in the vlog. We recently posted a new Water Country vlog from 2024, though, which includes Big Daddy Falls and several other attractions that we didn't even get to in 2022! It's currently linked in the pinned comment on this video - definitely check that one out if you're interested in seeing our Big Daddy Falls experience! 😁
Great action cam footage! What a fun day; y'all had me giggling a few times, lol! Makes me want to plan a waterpark day soon. New sub, can't wait to check out more videos. ✌️🌊
Ahhh thank you so much! Ours is an interesting dynamic where one of us hates water and the other loves it 😂 but we both love adventure so, off we go! Haha thanks so much for subscribing, we’ve subscribed to you as well and we’re so excited to check out your content! ✨
Hey friends! This entire vlog was shot in 4K, so make sure that you adjust your viewing resolution to get the best experience! 😎 If you're interested in seeing us suffer through the Cutback Water Coaster, we have a previous vlog out from our visit in 2022 that you can check out here: tinyurl.com/5n8ds4aw
I’m sooo excited to get up there and ride the new and improved Nessie sometime soon. I’m glad to hear all the good reviews about it, although it may be rough. Food & Wine is my favorite time of year at BGW, bummer I won’t make it up there this year. Africa looked awesome. I thought that music sounded familiar 🤣 Great vlog guys!
Nessie was always rough, so it's not necessarily a dealbreaker that it remains rough after the reimagining. I think after having been on some of the old Arrows overseas that had since been refitted with Vekoma trains, we've just been spoiled by smoother ride experiences and didn't set our expectations correctly. 😂 The theming is incredible and well worth the time Busch spent on it, so it's definitely worth a revisit even if it's a bit of a rattler! Africa was likely our favorite booth this year, the food was great and the vibes were a 10/10. Hope to catch you up here next year, Zoe! Thanks for watching! ✨
I’ve never even heard of Dorney park but you sure are making me miss some coaster fun! Looks like so many fun (and intense!) coasters. I loved that you shared about the cubbies for the ride as that was my #1 question for all theme park rides as I always have a bag lol. Loved your review for iron menace, looks so fun! Nice themed steel area, even the washrooms haha! Awe poor dorney dinosaurs wiped from existence twice 😂 always love seeing the food. Too bad the crumpets weren’t a must do haha. No water rides for me either if I can help it 😂 Looks like a fun filled day! 😊💕
Haha we have been to Dorney once before, but we were waiting patiently for the opening of Iron Menace to make our glorious return! Every ride that we enjoyed at Dorney on this particular visit did have cubbies on the station platform, which was a nice change of pace from the usual amusement park experience. 😁 And they did an amazing job revitalizing and expanding the park to add this new attraction - we can only hope that the trend will continue! It's definitely one of the prettiest parks in the Cedar Fair lineup and it does deserve some attention every once and awhile. Food is rarely a selling point for parks of this size, but all things considered, I think we enjoyed our meals better at Dorney than we did at Carowinds. 👀 Thanks so much for watching, Meg! ✨
Oooo! Love that you enjoy Horchata! I can make y'all some next time we get together. Those tacos looked sad but glad you enjoyed them. 😅 Love the Aviary. Glad you did it. 🥰 Ah! We can feel riding Griffon since we know all the twists and turns. I'm with Katie, I see a wall 😂 Katies face was priceless on Lochness! Love the new theming! Bummer it's rougher :( Bobotie is so good! Have had it at Animal Kingdom Lodge. The music you're hearing is indeed from AK. cause they also play it at BGT by Cheeta Hunt and we had pointed it out too! Good catch! Peacock or monkey on Alpengiest? lol Person was laughing up a storm! I always wish cakes came with vanilla ice cream. Mmmmm that rice pudding looks so good. Ha! I love cozy shack pudding hahah. The new go pro is Darker? We noticed that this video. Happy Birthday again! And omg Tim and water rides coming right up! ❤️
We actually thought the tacos were pretty great 😉 But we are known to be pretty easy to please when it comes to food. That said, the horchata is something that we look forward to every year. I actually got two more cups off-camera over the course of the day haha as someone who doesn't often drink, I like that Busch's version stands on its own without the traditional splash of rum. As far as Loch Ness, we're wondering if maybe it was a localized issue for the specific train that we were assigned. We've heard so many people laud the reimagining for being smoother and were surprised to find ours so much rougher! I think we'll have to give it another go to see if it was an isolated experience. I also really like that the new GoPro has a higher contrast 😁 The Hero10 was giving me a smidge of buyer's remorse with its flatter imaging, and the Hero12 is right back to form offering a better image at the higher resolution(s). Obviously we failed to leverage the microphone properly, but we'll learn as we go haha thanks for watching, you guys! ✨
I grew up going to BG my whole life, every other weekend (I remember when Griffin originally was a car ride where you drove around in these old school cars on a track!)… really want to go back as you can tell by me watching hahaha but my kids love watching Busch Gardens vlogs and they keep telling me it looks so fun and they want to go! 😁
Ahhhh you have the leg up on us! We only started visiting in 2021, but since that time we've spent each and every day wishing that it was truly our "home park". We typically visit four times a year, or once per season, and it is always such a vibe! Glad that your family enjoyed the video, and hopefully you will all get to experience the park together sooner than later. It really is nonstop fun all day long 😍✨ Thank you so much for watching!
Busch gardens looks like so much fun!! 🎉 really have to get there someday. Love seeing all the booths and what they have to eat. Greg’s always wanted me to try horchata, he loves it. The tacos look really good! All the rides look fun. Glad the Loch Ness ride had great theming. Too bad it was rough though! The Africa booth food looks so good. Mmm kettle corn! Ginger lime aid at the Jamaica booth sounds so intriguing. I love the rum cake! Good idea with the slaw on the slider! I’ve never had rice pudding but I looove coconut. Another fantastic video you guys! Sorry we are so behind and have been MIA! Hope you both are doing great! 😊💕
Haha to be fair, horchata is traditionally served with a splash of rum, and part of what I love about Busch's seasonal horchata offering is that it stands on its own without the alcohol. So although it is a crowd favorite in our circle, it may not be what a _true_ enthusiast would consider "real" horchata 😉 Naturally, the coasters are there year round, but Busch Gardens really does go all out for Food & Wine season, and we _love_ visiting during that spring/early summer window so that we can sample all of the snacks! Thanks so much for watching, you guys....no worries at all about being behind, the videos are always there! ✨
Dorney park looks like so much fun! The coaster line up does does look a bit smaller in number, but definitely mighty. I would love to try out Iron Menace - believe it or not, a dive coaster is one of the few coaster types I have still not been on! Iron menace looks super smooth and fun, even if a tad short. Looks to pack a punch! Big kudos to them for going above on the theming, it really is a touch you don’t see done in most parks now outside of the big names like Disney & universal. I’ve been on several of the models like possessed and actually just rode our flash one at six flags great America this past weekend and they’re always quite fun! Not my favorite style of coaster, but they’re pretty thrilling and a fun ride. Steel force looks cool - kinda gives me magnum XL 200 vibes 😅 it’s nice that they have an inverted coaster too. Definitely always a great ride! The food looked pretty tasty too. We’re definitely adding dorney park to our list of places to visit when we come out that way! Awesome vlog as always - thanks for sharing 😊
I think you all would really like Dorney! It definitely has that classic Cedar Fair vibe, and a pretty great ride lineup. Iron Menace does not top Griffon (dive at Busch Gardens VA) and may not even displace Steel Force as our top ride in the park itself, but it's definitely a great ride and the theming was outstanding. ✨ Highly recommend you sit front row center on your first ride if you're able, as the tighter layout may rattle you around a little bit if you're on the outside edges! Also highly recommend the Demon Drop, which we didn't get a chance to ride on this particular visit but have ridden before. It is one of the last of its kind in the US...an elevator that drops you onto rails and slides you to a stop onto your back. Very unique, and extra terrifying! 😂 Thanks so much for watching, you guys!
@@timandkt I have seen some videos of demon drop as well when PMM visited the park! Definitely would be on my list to try, just for the uniqueness. There are so many places out east that we need to get to - hopefully a road trip or some travels to hit them all will be planned in our future! Thanks for all the awesome tips as always 😊
We actually have a new video coming soon from our recent visit last weekend! We tried some other food offerings this time…not the boardwalk, but trending in the right direction at least haha I think at the end of the day, the food is there to keep you going - not to be noteworthy. But eventually we’ll try all the recommended spots and decide on one to stick with! Adding boardwalk to the list for next time! ☺️
