As a black woman always speak up for yourself when dealing with the medical industry. I won’t type a long paragraph but we are often looked at as super women or exaggerators. So they believe we can take more pain and discomfort than other races or they believe we exaggerate when we are in total pain. I am happy that you have such a loving husband to have your back. ❤❤wishing you a smooth recovery.
being in the medical field, trust me when I say that is everyone no regards to race at all. But because of drug seekers in the nation now, there is a ridiculous amount of legwork that goes with giving and getting pain meds unfortunately
@@Star-xe2tg Implicit bias is a thing. This was happening before any drug epidemic occured in this country and it absolutely is about race; you are ignorant. Don't invalidate something if you don't know what you're talking about.
12:55 - I love the way Chris spoke up for you & double-down when you expressed you were uncomfortable sitting especially since you were only a few hours out of surgery and the RNs were already trying to make you sit in such a low seating Chair 🥹🥹🥹
Nurse here. It’s important to get patients up and moving after surgery, even if that’s just standing at the bedside. It’s great for patients and family members to advocate for themselves, but the nurses are also keeping your best interest in mind.
I posted my previous comment after only watching the portion of Nikki standing up for the first time and I’d like to add, I’m sorry your experience with the next few nurses wasn’t good (striping the drains, removing the Statlock from the catheter). 😕
Hi Nikki things have been so rough with me my husband passed away we were in an age gab relationship it has been so hard.We watched your channel.God will give me the strength in this time 2 week he passed
Chris, you did amazing taking care of Nikki throughout this process. Nikki, I’m really excited for you to see your results. I just had lipo (and a breast reduction previously) and I’m so happy that I did this for myself. You’re gonna love it!!
Thank God for a successful surgery!! You'll have a speedy recovery, Lil Sis! Can't wait to see you again. I know my brother will take care of you!!! Love you always!
I'm so glad that your surgery went well for you.nikki remember this you maybe in a lot of pain right now but it's the healing kind of pain that you are feeling so don't let it get you down or worry you too much ok! Positivity peace and love to you and your family 💛
Thank you for this video because I am getting ready for a bbl and tummy tuck after losing a large amount of weight and videos like yours are super helpful. I am happy you have such an amazing husband and am glad my wife is just as supportive because I am nervous but excited 😊
Same here. I’m so happy she had a successful surgery. I am sad the same was not true for Jacky Oh. So Sorry for her family and especially 3 motherless children. You really have to discern if the benefits outweigh the risks.
Oh Nikki, I know what you've been through. I went through the same thing. I had to have a double mastectomy and my surgeon said you can have a tummy tuck b/c he needed some fat and tissue to reconstruct the breast. So, good luck with everything and a speedy recovery!❤️
I'm sorry but I don't think you guys have a similar situation your surgery was needed, hers was elective/cosmetic! Anyways hope you're doing well, my mother had to have the same surgery for breast cancer.
Thank you for sharing Nikki. It was hard for me to see you hurt up, but amazing that you shared with us. Girl you’re strong 💪🏾 and I’m so glad Chris and Vic were there to nurse you.
Hey Nikki! I know this update is old and that you’ve fully recovered (yayyy!), but sorry to hear how awful those nurses were. They were SUPPOSED to remove the tape on your leg that held the catheter tubing in place. And they probably didn’t want to remove the catheter because it would be that they would need to help you to the restroom more. They’re terrible and I’m sorry you had to deal with that. I also didn’t like how the doctor called your original belly-button “alien”. I rolled my eyes a lot of the times when he was talking lol. Nonetheless, so sooo delighted that you had Chris there to advocate for you and speak up for you (I.e. when you didn’t want to sit on the chair). Love your videos and hope you’re enjoying your new boddyoddyyoddyyy!!🤪❤️💖❤️💖✨🇳🇬🇺🇸
One strong beautiful mama . Praying for you 🙏❤. I had bad experience with nurses too specially here in South Africa it's so so bad ! They are mean and horrible even in private hospitals and they ain't qualified nurses they can't give injection or anything they just monitor you and help you around etc but at what price my word .
Sincere Prayers, Nikki 🙏🏽 You’re such a great patient & beautiful temperament considering the nurses “neglect & folly”… they’ve no idea how much it contributed to their own detriment - ( I’m a bit upset & gonna pray 🙏🏽 for them too with spirit of forgiveness) The doctor is awesome & very attentive. 😇 Thank you for great content 👍🏽
Haven't been around lately, but I miss you and Chris! Love you both and the family. I'm getting up for my stressful job. Need to take more advice from you Nikki re: relaxation and happiness ❤
That looked Tough Nikki! And I think you were already onc of the most naturally beautiful women I've seen. I mean you got height, killer body plus style and you seem humbled. But if you wanted this then it can only add to your beauty. I hope your recovery was fast, And can we all say how Vicki and Chris are so good to you. ❤😊
That was a quick walk and you did stated that the walk was fine but not the sitting they was supposed to let you walk just a little more when I did my surgery they had me walking the same day n a lot.
So glad you had a successful surgery -sorry you had to experience such poor care from the nurses 😢 Thank god for Chris always have your back❤🎉 Vicky shout outs to you for helping our Girl Nikki -your such a beautiful person inside out and one in a million ❤✨🙏🏾
❤Hello my girl and Chris I am truly happy for you glad that the surgery went well I love you Nikki and Chris sorry that the nurses didn't do their job 😢 but your home now, you have a wonderful friend and a caring husband ❤️ listen to your doctor Nikki don't be hard headed 😅
I see most of your videos and I dont remember if this was a selective surgery or not. But if it was I think you are very brave. Ive had a few not selective surgeries and all of them have been hard all on me...I totally remember the throat pain thanks to the intubation and the hoarse voice and lets not even talk about the pain...I hope you are doing great and able to walk freely already...Please keep us posted as you get better..blessings
Hi Nikki, Glad evrythg went well!🤗 I was about to say, WTH about your nurses until you said they were a different shift bc the ones we saw were patient-friendly!! Tell Chris he did a good job vlogn!!☺️ Don't overdue it, esp. til the drains are removed!! 'Sasha' will be in Full effect once you're completely recovered!!🔥 XxxOoXxx to our babies💓💓
Hi Nikki i am glad u r doing better .i had sugery in March 24 2023 for mager back sugery i had to stay in hospital for 28 days because i had to do rehab .i am doing so much better now still is having a bit of didcomfort in my back .u did two set of sugery that is a lot,one is enough for me God bless.❤
Nikki, you should've blinged💎 out your new whip😁 FYI..Even if you don't take the narcotic, Tylenol in high doses can cause constipation. Please make sure you're having a bowel movement regularly Miralax, stool softeners, and lots of water can help. 😏
Your body looks so good I didn’t realize when you had the makeover, but it’s the repair on the scar that has me in a choke hold. I’m in E’town and if I ever have anything done, this is the Doc for me. Enjoy bikini season, you are even more fabulous.🔥❤
Congrats 🎉 on your successful surgery! My mom always called it a “bird bath” when not able to take a bath or shower.😉Just wondering, why you didn’t go to an after-care facility to recover w/a trained nursing staff after your surgery? Blessings😇
Sending blessings love and light to you Nikki and Chris and family wishing you a speedy recovery and healing process. Love from London England 🙏🙏🙏🙏😇😇😇😇🛐🛐🛐🛐💖💖💖💖💙💙💙💙👋👋👋👋👍👍👍👍😎😎😎😎💐💐💐💐
Thank you for sharing your journey! Praying for a speedy recovery for you and that you heal perfectly! My eyes are on a lift with implants however im terrified of keloiding. Can you share in your upcoming videos what you are doing to prevent scarring and keloids. ❤❤
When ever I see some women and their after pregnancy bodies, than I realize how luck I am...it's now I am a bit older that and thick that people believe I have children...because my body really didn't change, even my breast didn't really after breat feeding..wishing you all the best...can't even imagine pain...happy mommy happy family
Hello Nikki and Chris, I am so happy to see you’re recovering just fine. When you said you had to cough I felt your pain, it’s the same pain after my hysterectomy. GURLLLLL don’t ever cough or sneeze without that pillow if you can feel that sneeze coming. I didn’t know of all the stomach muscles used in moving around especially the steps, ONE AT A TIME and gingerly at that. God Bless you as you continue to recover ❤️ 🙏
Congratulations Queen I am so happy for u i glad I came across you’re channel because I am getting a mommy make over to schedule for May so I can’t wait Omg thank you for sharing 👑💯💯💯✅
