Location is everything. We bought our first apartment last year and we were looking for more than a year because of the prices and location (we did want some stuff like a fireplace...) But we could have bought a 5 bedroom house just out of the city with the amount of money we spent on this apartment. All that said, we love it because it's at a walking distance to everything and we live in the city that is why the price is high. I work from home but my husband is a professor at the university and he can walk/bike or go there by car. I go shopping for fresh stuff every day because it's a 10 min walk. And we have all types of schools nearby. I got pregnant this year and I don't think we will be moving in the next 20 years but you never know, that is how much we love our 3 bedroom apartment (we did prepare for kids) I hope our kids love it as much as we do =) I recommend: Make a list of things you want and need for your "dream house", how much do you want to pay (we thought we would not be able to get this apartment and the bank said we could go higher so check with your bank) and think about the future. Search everything even though it does not look like the right one because it might surprize you and test the location (this last one is the most important for me and my husband) Good luck

Can totally relate Sezzy! we moved to CQ when our daughter was one because we couldn't afford a house with a yard in Brisbane, we were in a tiny 3 bdrm townhouse with a tiny TINY courtyard. we have a BEAUTIFUL 4 bedroom stand alone home now and a huge gorgeous backyard! at two babes now instead of one!! I hope you find your dream home too! the yard is SO worth the move xx

Definitely need a backyard when you have a kid! My toddler even when he was a baby love being outside watching the birds etc then when they’re a toddler the need the space to run/bike/paddling pool, cubby house/trampoline etc

GUYS!! I lived in Cronulla and I loved it. After a few years, I met my man, and we moved into our own place in the city to be close to work and I hate it so much. Our apartment is gorgeous but I hate where it is. Now we’re trying to find a townhouse/villa to move back to Cronulla. Point: don’t leave, you’ll regret it! From one outdoorsy beach goers to another - there’s nowhere like home.

I’m from Wollongong (where you had a look at) and I totally get it! It’s very chill and relaxing here BUT I have to admit I do like the city much better and definitely can’t see myself living here for much longer 💛

I love this! My wife and I took 8 weeks and road tripped around the USA looking at places to live and the main factors were outdoor space for us and our dogs to enjoy, cafe's & restaurants that had healthy food we would eat (at the time gluten free and vegan, now paleo), and health food stores. I love how you think girl!!

For the first 3 years of my son's life we lived in a townhouse massive inside but tiny little court yard. It was so hard raising a child without no yard. Now we live in a house with a massive yard, across from the beach. And it's so hard to keep my son inside. Having a yard definitely makes parenting easier. Plus my dog loves the yard 😍

Backyards are so necessary with a little one!!! We love lounging in the grass with our little guy (7 week old baby) ❤️

God...Fox is just the absolute most adorable baby iv ever seen in my whole life and his eyes 😍 omg. I about die. I have 3 boys and yeah, adorable...but Fox 😍😍 how is it even possible 😂

Sezzy put volcanic rocks in Abbies water bowl, it neutralises the stuff in the pee that makes it smell (you can get them from like Petstock and other pet stores) also washing the area with vinegar helps get rid of the smell! xx

So many of these comments are so negative :(( what happened to Sarah’s supportive comment section? Nobody says the perfect things all the time and vlogs are only showing snippets of conversations and so many people are attacking her. I moved from Sydney to the Illawarra and it was the best decision ever! It such a change but the best move with a family everything is very close to each other and it’s a really community vibe and it’s stunning. The further you go down like in Kiama you get a bunch of palm trees and the best coffee places

I like the eastern suburbs of Sydney beaches. La Perouse, Maroubra, Coogee, Clovelly, Tamarama, Bondi etc

Hey sezzy so my cousins live in wombara right across the road pretty much from Scarborough beach. The beach compared to Cronulla is a lot less busy. (My parents house is in Cronulla) the community I find in both are quite great but yes like u said it’s slower paced although I find that means it’s a closer knit community

Completely under stable! We had a 9th floor apartment in Brisbane CBD on Leichhardt and by the time our bub was 6 weeks old we were already looking for houses with big backyards and ended up buying in Chermside west! It’s just another phase of life girl, enjoy the process of finding to the perfect home 💕

What is with all the hate/judgey comments? They can do what they want- you don’t know the situation. It’s their life. Come to Tweed Heads! Beautiful beaches, family environment, great schools. I have 3 kids and planning a 4th and absolutely love our life here. We aren’t far from Byron Bay as well!

I feel your pain! I'm in South-east Sydney in a 1br apartment with my husband & my dog and we need more space! Sydney is just crazy expensive so we've also been looking south. Good luck!! P.S. A good alternative for your doggy to pee on is a real grass patch, we used two companies: Fresh Patch and Potty Plant. They are a bit annoying to handle sometimes but they don't smell :)

you guys should move to Lennox head. I live there. It’s a 20 minute drive to Byron and it has the best coffee. The beach is beautiful and everyone is so lovely ❤️❤️❤️

I feel like you’d fit in at Lennox Head. Beautiful beaches, awesome cafes, close to Byron Bay and the Gold Coast. It’s a lovely place, and it’s not too expensive compared to buying in Byron!

I LOVE CRONULLA!!! Went there for a two days when I visited Australia, and definitely want to go back there!!!

Try the Central Coast there is some really beautiful spots. Short term solution, try changing the fake grass out on your porch potty. You can get meter squares from bunnings. I rotate mine, one in use one being cleaned and hung out to dry.

Please move to Wollongong! Also if you ever visit with Fox check the botanical gardens near UOW. They are beautiful day out :)

Haha we have very similar priorities 😂 My partner I and just moved from the eastern suburbs, Sydney to Darwin (navy life) and the first thing we did was visit the health food store!

You will eventually need more space Sara, but keep in mind a house will mean mowing the lawn, cleaning the gutters, it will add to the workload as well...I moved from apartment to house and spend way more time cleaning than before ...so you do pay for that beautiful backyard tummy time.. :)

I can understand why you need to move. It is easy to outgrow living space once children and pets join the party. Truthfully, if I lived in Australia - I would buy that apartment in a heart beat! It is a beautiful space and I will "miss seeing it" when you move. LOL! I'm sure the new space will be great and I do sympathize with Abbey to have a yard. My dog loves her yard! If you’ve been watching Sarah more than just this video, you KNOW she’s not selfish. And you’d probably be able to tell from understanding their dynamic that NO she’s not making it all about her, but this is something she’s wanted and Kurt is okay with it. I don’t think it’s a matter of Kurt not having a say, but moreso Kurt being perfectly happy with WHATEVER she chooses because he probably doesn’t have those specific needs but supports, understands, and agrees with Sarah’s. Do you think they didn’t talk about this at all at home first or ??💀💀💀💀 cause that would be silly to think. They’ve probably thought about it for a while now.

You should read “There’s no such thing as bad weather”! All about getting yourself outside and making it work, regardless of whether you have an infant, you have a backyard, etc. you know, for kids’ health.

Gurrrrrl. Sezzy. Seriously, listen to me. We used to live across the road on the beach side of your street in the cul de sac and being able to walk up the street and up the path to the espy and beach and close to the mall and blackwoods is ideal. We moved from Cronulla to Brisbane in January and WE HATE IT. I think we wouldn’t have liked it anyway but if we hadn’t lived in Cronulla we wouldn’t have been so spoilt and wouldn’t be hating it to the same extent. MISS CRONULLA SO MUCH! Take my advice. DO NOT LEAVE. You will regret it 🙌

Aww. My husband used to blow on our son's tummy when he was changing his diaper and he would open his mouth and gasp and giggle. Now our son is 15. Time flies by! Fox is adorable! And house hunting is so much fun. Hope y'all find the perfect place.

Wollongong is ok but I wouldn’t like to live there either, have a look at Newcastle. My sister lives there and loves it and my brother is moving there soon so they can buy a house (currently live in Balmain). It’s also not too far from Sydney and probably more your vibe than Wollongong.
