Oh the British people clap too! That’s lovely. You came the day that a lot of NYers were stranded in Manhattan because of all the flooding. It took me 2 hours to get home that afternoon. I’m glad you were able to see your play that night.
Yay! Travel hack for you: bring an empty reusable water bottle to get through security and then fill up at the water fountains on the other side. It will save you $4 on buying a bottle and avoid the plastic waste, and convenient for the rest of the trip as well.
@@MickeyJoTheatre This may be a step too far for most people, but I also pack a thermos with sugar, bring tea bags, and ask for hot water at whatever cafe I get my pre-flight snack from. Keeps me warm on the plane and I have my favorite tea purely for comfort's sake.
My husband and I try to buy aluminum water bottles around our gate at the airport so we try to use those for the rest of our trip! Hopefully they become more popular! It might just be a San Francisco thing right now.
thrilled you’re doing these again!!!! i’m from new york (but i have sadly had to move away now, and have been terribly homesick recently) and seeing you experience the city is such an absolute treat ❤️ hope you two had an amazing trip!!
Is it wrong I thrive on the chaos of these vlogs? Like I'd almost hate for you to have a truly relaxing holiday & vlog about it because it'd just feel "wrong". hehehe Glad the flooding didn't hurt your plans at all though & you had an incredible start to the trip.
I’m so sad that I missed you guys in NYC. I was in NYC this past week on a theater trip as well. I saw Some Like it Hot, The Play That Goes Wrong, Merrily We Roll Along, Shucked, and Back to the Future! I had so much fun thanks to your precious vlogs, Schmackary’s was sooo good and the people at the Drama Book Shop were very nice. I’m planning on going to NYC in January to see Mind Mangler and some other shows. NYC might have to become my second home :P I love your channel and keep up the good work!
Aww I love that you saw Shucked and Kimberly Akimbo again, they're the highlights of the year for me for new musicals. SO looking forward to seeing your review for Puurlie Victorious, I had SUCH a good time at that show. Can't wait to see the next Vlog!!
Love this. And you won TWO tkt lotteries before even arriving in NY; AND Rush tkts your first full day in town - what savvy guys!! You're practically natives lol
That was awesome. Thanks so much. Glad the weather didn’t dampen your spirits. Can’t wait to see the rest of the trip vlogs. Keep any and all recommendations coming for food, etc. Better shot of the Purlie stage, I see.
I love this vlog! Also, I really appreciate your channel. I planned to spend that same weekend in NY and bought a ticket for Merrily We Roll Along 6 months before, having no idea about Broadway Flea... Then, I found out about it watching your video and changed my flight back to my home to enjoy the flea! Looks forward to seeing the next one.
OMG I was thinking about you guys that weekend hoping that wasn’t the one where you were coming in and it was! Glad you made it here safely. The rain has been relentless this summer and especially this autumn. It feels like it has rained for the last 10 weekends in a row (it hasn’t been that many but there have been a lot). Glad y’all had a good time and hopefully next time you come the weather will actually be pleasant.
I just got back from my New York trip I miss it so much already… I also was like oh man I missed potentially running into you guys by like a week oh well!!
Mickey, you need to come back to NYC in the Spring. Since, that is when a bunch of new musicals will be opening. Quite a few seem like they might be quite promising. Plus, “Sweeney Todd” will have a new cast.
I definitely had the same reaction when I met LBB before seeing legally blonde in 08 and I could barely say anything. Worse when I met Christian Borle, I forgot the whole English language lol
Don't know what the offerings are in the UK, but many US credit cards offer lounge access as a included perk. Might be worth looking in to if your travel adventures continue to grow
🎉 despite the fact that I have a condition that causes me excruciating pain over 85% of my body, this or anything else was not going to stop me from booking 10 shows that are playing or will be playing in Los Angeles. Three weeks ago my Theater journey for 2023 and 2024 season began with one of my favorite players of all time,La Mez and then I was able to see ain’t too proud, which was fantastic also. I want the place that I cannot wait to see is The reimagined addition of the Wiz.
By the way, American people clap for the plane landing as well. I’m pretty sure that’s universal because it happened to me when I was around German people on Lufthansa and also people from Switzerland 😂
@@MickeyJoTheatre I'm questioning their judgment. It's one of those places that was kind of fun when we were kids but they now. microwave their entire menu. It's the pinnacle of bad American chain restaurants.
Empire Strikes Back Trip, hmm does that mean the Wizard in Wicked will say (powerfully wheezing)'Elphaba, I am your father ' Gasp. How was Here We Are and I'm looking forward to your review
Not saying whether they will or will not be able to go but they've gone with a much smaller theater. I am kicking myself that I didn't buy tickets in 2019 when I had the chance. Not sure if I'll have that opportunity again if they continue with the small theaters.
@@browneyes142a The New York State Theatre is much larger than Broadway houses, but is smaller than the United Palace. Tickets will be available, but the prices will be outrageous.
@@ChienaAvtzon The Koch Theater seats 2,544 - that's twice the size of most Broadway houses. There are always tkts avail. to purchase, though they're pretty expensive.
@@RaymondNYC1 - The Koch Theatre is a tiny venue compared to Radio City Music Hall, and not much larger than the Gershwin Theatre on Broadway. It really goes to show how irrelevant the Tonys have become, over the past decade. As there is a reason Radio City basically evicted them, and would rather just have the Rockettes perform that day/night. The Olivier Awards are in the Royal Albert Concert Hall, which is around the size of Radio City.
Really annoying that I have to go to some other place - Twitch? Switch? - to see Aeron's vlog about the show itself. No thanks. Welcome back to NYC, and I hope you had a great time here. But I can only follow on RU-vid.
