The black dress turned out really nice, I don't think the pattern was too busy at all. I am biased though I love that style. I just finished a winter coat, that was a tough three days but so worth it! Not sure I will ever go for check patterned fabric though, that was annoying to pattern match, especially in a loose weave wool blend.
