When Tyler's mom starting to do the sanding, I wondered if Tyler was going to make it artsy fartsy. Missed opportunity! Also, my husband heard Gigi ask to call "White Nana" and he turned and looked at me with the weirdest look...and I casually explained, "There's a white nana and a blue nana. Not racial at all."

"White Nana" cracks me up. You may want to give a heads up to preschool to avoid a phone call. OMG some of the calls I have gotten from misunderstood phrases. My twins argued over throw blankets, where one got to use the fluffy fur blanket that time and the other unhappily had to use the beautiful afghan my mom crocheted. The next day I had a very concerned teacher calling, asking if we had house guests and what the situation was because Anthony was very upset we made him sleep with an African and he doesn't feel comfortable sleeping with Africans. When you're laughing so hard you can't talk....😂😂😂

That's OK my mom told us that when my brother was young he couldn't say fork. So it came out as f***. Lol. We went to a private Christian school from preschool to 7th grade. We moved and it was alot better because we both could use our words correctly. Our poor mom as she tried to teach him asap how to say fork. 😂😂

One of my grandma’s tips for keeping cookies soft is to put a piece of bread in the container with it. No idea how it works but it really does 😂 we always do that with her Cookie Jar Gingersnaps, her famous recipe

We went to Walmart yesterday, and they had LOTS of cream cheese. Maybe the shortage is in selected areas. Also, you could dip your ginger cookies in coffee. Think biscotti, lol. Enjoy! Wishing the Braun family the very BEST 2022!!!!

I had no idea there was a shortage until yesterday when I went to do grocery shopping and stopped at my 3 normal places and none of them here (Pittsburgh area) have cream cheese unless it’s flavored! It’s nuts lol I had no idea and I’m thanking myself for buying extra last time I did pick some up though! 🖤

OMG it was SOOO cute when Genevieve was in the car with Tyler and she put her hand on his shoulder like to say "its OK dad, we will just hand out here" .. she is such the little character .. definitely a daddy girl.. I also love how she calls her grandmothers by color LOL White Nana" hahaha which is not all THAT weird seeing my boys called their grandparents by the house color .. Grampy at the Green House or Grammy at the Red House ... so its not all that weird. BUT funny!

I love my ginger cookies too and they do seem to get a bit hard. I just put a piece of bread in with them for a while and they get soft again :) it was like magic the first time I tried it 😆😁

Ok I think it’s so funny that Gigi calls her Grandmas Blue and White Nana! My niece Jane is 4 and has called her Grandmas: Yellow Grandma and Black Grandma….because of their hair colors. It cracks up our family. 😂 So funny that Gigi does that too.

Flashback! Hahaha! I used to call my grandmas “white grandma” and “black grandma” when I was really little bc of their hair color. So when I heard Gigi say “white nana” I about died from laughter. 😂😂😂

An easy alternate for buying mild buffalo sauce: 2 ingredients! Liquid Parkay and Louisiana hot sauce! in a bowl put the Parkay in the bowl to however much you want. Then whisk in the hot sauce. To make mild? a light orangy color.. Medium? deeper orange and hotter.. and so on add more. This recipe was used in an actual Chicago area restaurant.

Instacart knowing what you want immediately reminded me of that episode of Superstore where they all had to download the Zephra app and carry their phones. Jonah was the only one concerned about how they can scan your searches and comments, then send you ads for things you've talked about. To which Sandra responded, "That just seems thoughtful." 😂😂😂

Did you think to take a Covid test? You’ve been sounding very chesty and stuffy-headed for several days now. Omicron isn’t as awful as the Delta variant but it can sound a lot like an old fashioned cold. BTW - the cream cheese shortage is actually for those giant industrial tubs shortage: Not enough containers to put it in for restaurants etc.

If you put a slice of bread into the container where you store your cookies it will keep them soft and can even revive cookies that have gotten hard :)

Pro tip to keeping your cookies from getting hard: throw a tortilla in the container with the cookies. When the tortilla starts to harden, replace it. Keeps cookies soft without giving odd flavor and doesn't take up a lot of room. It will even help soften cookies that have been a little over-baked.

The PackIt mod bento is awesome, you can adjust the number of compartments, how big they are, and it’s much easier to clean than the Bentgo (but this may annoy you less since she’s going once a week. My kiddo goes 5 days and does breakfast and lunch at school so we’ve done some trial and error with food storage). Benita just seems to radiate joy on screen, I can relate to her never using tools having every man in my family be a contractor and therefore I can’t even build Ikea furniture without having a meltdown.

Oh, What so many people would give to have a mom like that, just so positive, always smiling and full of joy. Man. You sure are blessed hope you know! The last thing my mom said to me was F off, that was 3 or 4 years ago. Always been resentful towards me as long as I can remember. 11 years since i talked to my dad. Anyway... just couldn't imagine what it would be like to just have unconditional love from a mom like Nana!

Just saying: I would personally LOVE more cooking videos or in depth cooking videos. I really enjoy y'all's tastes in food and I think some of your recipes are amazing. Here in BC Canada our butter comes in a 1 lb block, you can get the sticks but it’s about $2 more , when I find it on sale this past one was $3.49 I buy a ton , last haul I got 26 lbs , I do a lot of baking ext so we will go through it in 3-4 months .

Y’all are seriously my favorite to watch ever! So entertaining and I learn something new every video! I wanted to thank you for every Vlogmas, but especially for this one. Everyone was sick in my household with Flu A and it was like stair steps the way we were all getting sick. It was horrible….I was behind on my Vlogmases (is that a word? Lol) with y’all and the times I was able to watch anything I binge watched everyday and laughed and cried and loved every single moment! I know it takes a lot of work and energy, but it doesn’t go unnoticed or appreciated at all. Lastly, but definitely most importantly, congratulations on the upcoming bundle of sweetness!! Gigi is a joy to watch grow and I know she will be the best big sister ever! I am going to miss the vlogs 😩 IMO (lol not that it matters) y’all should do a weekly “cutting board” recipe. I love love love watching y’all cook your favorite recipes or a cookbook recipe. And Gigi’s hair has gotten so long ..beautiful 💚💚 lastly one of my dogs always has to be under the covers or bury her face in a blanket.
