Vlogtember day 20 - Christmas sock knitting update and feeling awkward 

I feel just the same when there’s a workman in the house- it makes you feel awkward in your own home! Gary is a very clever little puppy to be learning tricks and utterly adorable!

I know that you probably won't get this, but, if I never smile for any other reason in a day, you being you will always do it. You're such a blessing to share yourself like this Paula. ❤

Believe it or not listening to your list of the jobs you get done around the house makes me feel like maybe I’ve accomplished something too, and motivates me to do my own house

I am the same way! I can't stand workmen in my house. Do you ignore them, talk to them, sit, wander aimlessly!😂😂😂🤪🤪🤪

I tend to talk to the repairmen if I'm not busy doing something else, it's always nice to meet new people. Love your Christmas socks. 🥰

I hate workmen in the house as well and always feel awkward so I leave them to it and wait for the “hello” when they’ve finished 😂 I’m in suspense now about your book 😊

Hi Paula from the Sunshine Coast of Australia. I am enjoying your vlogs so much throughout September. I love seeing Ian and Gary and the Guinea pigs of course and your sock knitting is beautiful. I taught myself how to knit socks during 2021 when we were subjected to lockdowns here. I enjoy knitting very much, especially socks. I was taught to knit by my mother when I was little and I’ve never given it up. Thank you so much for your company these past few weeks. You really are delightful. Omg Gary getting stuck in the cat flap 😂 a few years ago we had the kitchen and bathroom replaced at the same time, we set up a makeshift kitchen in our small living room and a portaloo in the shed 😂I loved that makeshift kitchen it was very convenient when watching TV. Me and my daughter just shut the door and left the builders to get on with it as I find it awkward also. Nothing like TV, meals, cold drinks etc. all in one room 😬

I had to get used to it a few years ago because our builder started a few small jobs and stayed for years I couldn’t get rid of him i must have made them too welcome I fed them too well they used me as a cafe! 🤣😂I was also an agony aunt! 🤣

Oh, we loved Wicked Little Letters😂. I think you mentioned you were going to see it in a theater a long while back (but I could be wrong) and that’s what persuaded me to go see it. We’ll be having workmen in the house for months probably, because a pipe leaked in a bedroom closet and we didn’t find it for weeks, so a lot of damage was done. It’s the absolute worst to feel so awkward in your own home. I am dreading it. Your socks and cat bags are just beautiful!🥰

I’m the same, I try to arrange workmen to come when it’s my husbands day off and he can deal with them but it often doesn’t work out like that 😂😂😂😂

when workers come I take my 2 old English sheepdogs into a back small room and wait it out. I'm with you super uncomfortable, but if I had to be there I would dust!

I totally agree about the workmen, I hate hate hate it!! I always try to arrange it for when hubby is around. My dog hates it too. Can you share what your migraine tablets are please? I've had migraines since I was 6, I can manage with most of them but do get them that put me in bed and nothing helps, usually 3 days. No fun.

I enjoyes that film so much, like you ive rewatched it again and again. Pure entertainment. Also looking forward to the bag drop tomorrow, 🤞 I've got my on one in particular. Kx

Paula, May I ask what you take for your migraines? I am having the same problem, I take a migraine tablet and it goes away, but comes back the next day on repeat for three or four days. I have an appointment to speak with my PCP on December 2nd (1st available appointment).
