I just bought one of these hope it works out but one thing I think you forgot to mention is if you want it to self drain you need to push the button for pump so that it turns on when needed. Other than that thanks for the video. Was wondering myself about the settings and didn't see the part about setting from 45 to 50 the first time you run it.
I had one of these which quit while in warranty. Just attempted to repair my second GE dehumidifier. The pump once again quit (2nd dehumidifier). I opened the back plastic cover and found that GE (China) used metal that holds the coils. The metal of course rusts and caused the sediment to plug the internal pump hoses. Most of all the connection where the supplied hose plugs in to the chassis. I removed the quick disconnect fitting and blew 40LBS of air through it. When finally clear, I reconnected the hose. There is still a problem of rust in the water collection area. I hope to flush it with water but know it will happen again. I will never purchase a GE dehumidifier again. For all the headaches GE needs to pay me.
Not sure if you mean water limit in the bucket or humidity setting? Mine does shut off when it hits my set humidity preference, I have mine connected with the drain hose it came with. So it drains when the bucket is full.
So I bought this yesterday and mine had a white tube that actually clips in. The problem is, when I have the drain tube hooked up and I turn the pump on, it doesn’t seem to pump anything out. Any advice? Do I need to add a tube to go into the drain bucket?
Being I didn't have this issue im not much help... The white tube/hose simple plugs directly into the small opening in the rear... I'm sure you check the hose for any blockage or packing material!? Good luck!! Also no tube needed to drain into the bucket if you go that route.. Also you have to option to use a traditional hose which connects on the side of the unit.
thanks for the video, I’m thinking of getting this same one for my basement. does yours still work good? did you find it necessary to get the extended warranty with it?
