Naughty girl! Using your fabric scissors on cardboard???!!! I've had electric scissors for 30+ years. I use them to cut out apparel patterns. I haven't really used them for quilting. I stick with the ruler and rotary cutter. I don't think they can get up against your ruler well enough. Thanks for showing this!

Oh yes, you flip the fur and cut from the back side and make sure you have the fur brushed apart. You want to be just cutting the back. Yes I've used it for that

I liked the ones I had 20 years ago even with a cord to cut clothing patterns. I couldn't get new blades for the old one so that is a nice feature with these scissors. I might get a pair for clothing making.

Thank you for your impressions. I will keep these in mind if I want to work with vinyl, leather, or similar materials more than occasionally.

Agree. I do like the idea of using them to cut out clothing. If I sewed clothing often enough.

I was impressed with how and what the scissors could cut. Would be great for batting (no fluff stuck in the grooves) and other thick items. especially denim. I sewed a lot of bunting recently and would have used them to cut the pennants apart. Now you have the scissors I'm sure you'll start to use them more often on different projects ✂

I agree. Batting bits in a cutting board is annoying.

I thought of you and all of the jeans you’ve cut up. It would have saved time and your hands. ✂️✂️✂️

The product information states that it comes with two different blades - a D-blade for cutting rigid materials like cardboard and plastic, and an O-blade for cutting flexible materials like fabric and carpet. Several customers tried both blades and found them effective for their respective purposes.

I had a pair many years ago when I only sewed with pattern. I left them at a placed we moved out of. I was so bummed.

@rsislandcrafts 27 дней назад
Oh no. That would be sad. I think at some point most of us leave something behind in a move.

I had electric scissors. They had a cord, so you had to be careful not to cut the cord I donated the ones I had.

I know I would be very paranoid that I’d cut the cord.

They look a lot of fun. They'd be great if you do a lot of non precise cutting.

I saw a reel that wet the cardboard, the rolled it up, it was a big TV box.

That’s very interesting. Wet cardboard has the ick factor (rainy Florida days)for me but worth a try. We had three huge sturdy mattress boxes that were tough to cut down.

I have never tried electric scissors...I would be interested but the way I do so little now would not be worth buying for me.

Like many tools they’re perfect for those who would use them regularly. I think they’d be great for crafters since most things aren’t as precise as quilting.
