From Scotland- The bagpipes sound great and give it a real martial feel. A fantastic display by the cadets and I would reckon that many of them have Scottish forbears.🏴🇺🇸
I'm a graduate of Norwich - The Military College of Vermont, America's oldest private military college and birthplace of ROTC. And I have nothing but RESPECT for the Virginia Military Institute and its fine alum.
@@kevinphillips150 Absolutely. There are experienced SNCOs in all ROTC departments. My SNCO when I was cadet was the CSM of the 4th Ranger Training Bn who was also Vietnam Vet.
@@stevewixom9311 The dirty tired looking one's just came off the line. This parade is clean and fresh bringing forth the fighting spirit of those who have just come off the line. This is general Lee's army.
Just to think there are some members of this Corps of Cades who will have no military obligation to serve. What is the point of going to a military college if there is no obligation to serve?
@@georgiamule It seems there are a number of private and public institutions of higher education (in the United States) that have taught students from around the world for hundreds of years without having anything to do with the military. The Ivey League seems to have some. And those schools not in the Ivey League but qualified to be.
@@kevinphillips150 Ivy League schools are, beyond question, excellent institutions of higher learning. But this thread is addressing other excellent universities that also provide military training for those who want it and are qualified. You may not know that the majority of our nation’s military officers come from such schools, including the service academies at West Point, Annapolis, Colorado Springs and New London. The young men and women who elect to attend one of the academies or another university with a military program, have elected to get a university degree and a commission in the US military.
What No "Gentlemen of the South Fall Out" - and No marching to Dixie........ Just a lot of foul mouthed audience who have to yell out & whistle (but cannot sing 'Shenandoah'), poor show.......
