@@DE-xt7jvin a country to colonialism, they have nothing to do there Only landgrab for multinationals You are awfull , evil and bad very bad , hell is waiting
Fantastic video, good clear focus and amazing sound quality makes it thoroughly enjoyable. Of course the subject matter has much to with that but without the video we from afar would miss it all so thank you very much for posting it🥰
I watched them march from outside the barracks to Horse Guards Parade and then took my seat for the show. No better evening to be had in London in the summer for the 3 nights it is on.
Wonderful! YOU SHOULD be so proud of your coun9trymen. Skill, rehearsals till perfect, spit and polish. It must be so thrilling to hear them, see them entering the parade grounds. Wish I was there.!
I am SOOOO PROUD for ALL you Brits!!!! MY COUNTRY used to be SOOO proud ALSO, to be..... Americans..May God give us the grace and wisdom to WAKE UP!!! Thank you England!!;!;
@jacquelinebarnett I'm not surprised, no-one does pomp and ceremony like the Brits. The marching musicians (how do they do that?) the history and the magical horses. As an Aussie I love every minute of it. Just beautiful. ❤🇬🇧🇦🇺
My grandparents were both Londoners and they loved the pipes and bands when they migrated to WA they lived in the hills above Perth and this is what they played on the stereo turned up loud I could here it in the orchard
I agree fully but they are not really a Marching Band. They march superbly and are a band of great musicians but do so with great style, panache and pride without any gimmicks. I couldn't help but use my table as a drum and my arthritic old fingers as drumsticks beating out the time!
Marching bands are generally a bunch of civilians sauntering around playing a variety of tunes, often at the same time, whilst wearing 'uniforms' more suited to the Ruritanian balloon corps. Mr Collins has the right answer here.
All the beautiful white stone buildings are made of Portland Stone from the Isle of Portland in the county of Dorset South West Coast of England 5 miles from the seaside Town of Weymouth sandy beaches , donkey rides ,afternoon with Punch and his wife ,and a great Promenade for walks with a Pier and is a Spa town with a Fort 10 min walk from centre of the town . Wonderful day for Marching 👏👍🤷♀️
You're welcome.Another way to identify Guards regiments if not wearing bearskins is the button groupings.Grenadiers;single buttons,Coldstream;buttons in twos,Scots;threes,Irish;in fours,Welsh;in fives.
There is nothing better than a massed band playing march after march. I could listen all day to this massed band. They played two of my favorites: Birdcage Walk and Bond of Friendship. Thanks for the wonderful footage.
ICH ZOLLE EUCH STREITKRÄFTEN und EUREN LIEBEN TIERSEELEN MEINEN. ALLERHÖCHSTEN. RESPEKT❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤GOD BLESS ALL SOLDIERS AND ANIMALS, AMEN 😢😢😢👋👋👋👋🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊
The only thing that works still in the UK / the military despite being too small and underfunded and run by accountants not by real men of the military - bloody marvelous show by the bandsmen but a bloody shame that the military doesn’t get what it needs and deserves
After a bit of farting about and the police horse showing its approval / disapproval they got themselves into the mood and showed us why they are such an EXCEPTIONAL GROUP OF PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS, who can do it all at any time, any day, and on the move when required. They are totally fixed on producing only the best for anyone who want's to stop and listen. Well done all!
@@DE-xt7jvThis video shows the march to HorseGuards Parade from Wellington Barracks. They form up on the road outside the barracks as is traditional. It's not part of the official ceremony on Horse Guards Parade , it's just a handy way of getting the bands from A to B whilst providing some music for anyone who happens to be watching on the route to the ceremony.
That farting about as you put it was them coming down from the barracks to muster ready for the March! How else do you think they'd manage it ? By teleportation,? until you can do the same excellent job please keep your observations to yourself, and just enjoy this marvellous achievement, I'm an army brat, daughter of a Regimental Sergeant Major , this thrills me to the core, these young people are keeping up an old tradition that has served us well for centuries, long may this great country survive, GOD BLESS ALL WHO SERVE.
@@kenUK762 thank you Sir, my father was 8th army RAMC, he served with pride, In the second world war he was in north Africa at Tripoli, Benghazi and El Alamein, then into Italy to Monte Casino, he's gone now many years ago, but he'll always be my hero.
Superb musicians and excellent drill especially during the Beating Retreat pieces. Well done the Guards. But anyone else notice a lady on the opposite pavement in line with the Drum Majors from about 06.50 when the first change of tune took place. She had a burgundy cloak thing on and was stepping out in perfect time. I wonder if she was ex military as she did a check step to get in step and just got caught up in the moment. I hope so and hope she has great memories if she did serve.
Having served in a combat unit for 12 years,it that discipline ,that our society lacks, everything has to be excellent if a.job needs doing in our armed forces,or its not acceptable.well.done lads, great performance.
White plumes;Grenadier Guards, red plumes;Coldstream Guards, blue plumes;Irish Guards, green and white;Welsh Guards. The Scots Guards don't have plumes but can be identified by buttons in groups of threes.
You need a proper fluffy 'mole' or mic shield on your microphone against the wind, or it'll cut all the bass out. Great video, really enjoyed it, need the SOUND :-)
People take the piss out of brits for adhering to tradition but nobody boes it better than us snd its because we train train and train some moe and adhere to tradition and this is whst you achieve so very proud and fortunate to be a brit
This sounds a lot more musical than I'm used to hearing from British military bands: not better, but freer in terms of how they're approaching the music. It's refreshing certainly. I wonder if this has something to do with Charles III and his interest in music which QEII didn't have so much.
I don't know which military bands you've been listening to but military marches are always tuneful , unless it is a solemn occasion as at a Royal funeral or commemoration of our forces losses, they are all spectacular and they make this nation proud, I'm 77, was born a military brat as the saying goes daughter of a regimental sergeant major 8th army RAMC and so very proud to be so , God Bless all who serve 🙏
loved the music but I was fascinated by the elderly white hair woman dressed in dark red and pink outfit on the sidewalk side of the street who kept in step with the band members until they made the turn at the intersection of the street - fascinating and humorous.
Anybody notice, in the opening six seconds, the two Directors Of Music (DoM's) for the Welsh and Grenadier Guards stepping off on their way to the parade, where they would conduct the bands during the Band static presentations.
